newsletterThe latest Goodforthegame newsletter penned by @BrentGraham with best bets for the weekend of 11th to 13th September

We came down to earth last week when Edinburgh somehow let Ulster back in the match to win their Pro 14 semi-final and ruin our double.

Rugby fans have plenty to look forward to this weekend and for those who like a more scientific approach to betting we are now carrying the Betting Stig lines on the Goodforthegame site.  The Betting Stig has an algorithm which spits out handicaps and when the bookies price up the Stig bets whichever side of the line his cap is sitting.  I found it very interesting to follow him and it was the topic of this week’s Citizen Article powered by Playabets.

On Thursday’s THE HANDICAP rugby show I was joined by The Conductor and debutant Dave Cooney from Ireland before @HanrickSwart made his return to the show to talk Mitre 10 Cup.  Matches discussed include the Australian rugby playoff as well as the Pro 14 Final between Leinster and Ulster where Dave is in the Leinster camp.  There was plenty of alignment amongst the panel and the show is a much watch before you get your betting weekend under way.

Auckland on the minus was going to be the Best Bet pre-power failure (honestly) but that game is finished and we will go with Dave’s pick on the Pro 14 final. He is on Leinster -10 and I think they will draw clear to win comfortably and will put up the -11.5.

BEST BET: 4 units Leinster -11.5 at WSB

The Goodforthegame Forum is busier than ever in particular the Rugby Thread and you can Click here to make sure you don’t miss a rugby tip or piece of information all weekend.

The Tour de France continues and today’s stage should be a good one.  Look out for the current Green Jersey being put under pressure by Sagan and his team.

I have been previewing each Tour de France stage on YouTube and you can Click here for the Stage 14 Preview.  A warning, I have yet to catch one of these long priced winners, all be it I am slightly ahead of the books overall.
