cashThe latest Goodforthegame newsletter penned by @BrentGraham with best bets for the weekend 11th to 13th August

Last weekend was one of fine margins with two of my bets looking great early, but only just arriving.  The Newsletter Best Bet was France over 20.5 points (8/10) away at Scotland and they ran in 21 points before the break.  I had also taken some 21.5 and watched in disbelief as the French failed to add a point in the second-half.  Taking the 8/10 about over 20.5 rather than a bigger price and a point more proved to be a wise call.

The other nail biter was Australia over 18.5 and in no time at all they raced to 17 points and it eventually took a long distance penalty from then RWC hopeful Quade Cooper  sneaking over the bar to deliver the points (and a case of beers from The Oracle).

THE HANDICAP
The Understaker, @HanrickSwart joined me on last night’s show and we chatted about the two International games taking place on Saturday as well as the ongoing Bunnings NPC and with plenty of time to spare we took our first look at the Rugby World Cup Outright odds.

MACKEMS MONEY MAKER
Mackem took his newsletter bow last week and he got off to a great start with a convincing 2/1 winner.  MMM is back this week and his bet comes in Turffontein Race 8, No 6 Writteninthesand, currently priced at 9/2.  You can follow blindly or read Chris preview here

We also posted a short You Tube video on the new Goodforthegame Extra Channel.

IN FRANCE WE TRUST
This week’s BEST BET has taken a bit longer to come out than I would have liked, but it is because bookmakers have been very slow to price up on the France v Scotland points market.  Some of them were out last night and there was over 31.5 French points available, but from what I can see that line is now no lower than 35.5.
I still like the overs as am expecting a big showing from the French but I prefer the handicap of -16.5.
