newsletterThe latest Goodforthegame newsletter penned by @BrentGraham with best bets for the weekend of 28th to 30th August

If you are going to lose a fixed odds bet you may as well lose it by a long way and is certainly what happened with our Waratahs (+7.5) pick last week. The team that hammered the Reds previously were nowhere to be seen and they were absolutely obliterated by a Brumbies side that showed a host of changes.  One thing most punters can agree on is that this Australian Super Rugby Tournament is almost impossible to predict and form lines appear to count for very little.

All Eyes on the Lucky Last!

Last night’s edition of THE HANDICAP “Rugby chat that matters” was a bit shorter than normal as there were no Gallagher Premiership prices up at the time of going live and I was only joined by one guest, namely The Conductor who did a cracking job.

The Conductor had a number of strong fancies and if you haven't watched the show yet you can Click here to do so or download the Podcast here

He fancied the Scarlets (-6.5) against the Dragons, but that market has moved considerably and now sits at (-9.5).  His best bet though was in the final Pro 14 match of the weekend, the derby between Zebre and Benetton and he is expecting a much better showing from Benetton this week and the (-3.5) is his biggest strike of the weekend and I note the likes of @Son_of_a_Punt on Twitter have come out and rubber stamped that one.

BET:  5 Units Benetton (-3.5) at 0.89/1 at BetXchange

Don’t miss our trademark Goodforthegame Super Rugby Previews and Couch Critic has also highlighted his bets including a 57/1 last try scorer shot in his BetOlimp Blog.

Will We See Paris?

The Tour de France gets going tomorrow and I can’t wait for 3 weeks of cycling and betting action.  I will be doing a Video Preview of each stage and we also have the Goodforthegame Forum thread going with daily bets play.  If you are new to cycling and want to get into it, then stay close to us , but a word of warning cycling is incredibly volatile and this year we not only have crashes, mechanicals and team tactics to worry about, but also the dreaded COVID-19 with some punters doubting as to whether we will even reach Paris this year.

I run a separate Tour de France mailing list for these 3 weeks and if you are interested here is the link to sign up https://bit.ly/TDFmailer
