Last week was an eventful one from a betting perspective.  On Saturday morning I was on the Hurricanes to beat the cap against the Blues and also to score over 22 points and travelling to my son’s water polo I tried to keep my eye on the score.  With 70 minutes gone they trailed 32-14 and I pretty much gave up hope only to find out they finished in dramatic style to win the game 33-32 with 3 late tries.

The newsletter bet of overs in the Leinster v Lions game had sadly gone belly up the night before so I was already under pressure and really needed that comeback.

My weekend ended up hinging on the Stormers v Connacht match with my 15/1 newsletter ACCA as well as a 10/1 accumulator with the Hurricanes and Force both to win their matches finishing on the Cape Team to win.  I don’t know why I didn’t take the more conservative route and go for the handicap, but I was so confident of victory that when they led 17-7 in the second-half I thought it was race over.  I was actually watching a Pirates Rugby Club game so I couldn’t see what was happening, but based on twitter gathered the Stormers were getting the raw end of the ref’s decisions. 

These things happen in betting though and unfortunately it was a poor weekend for me although I did salvage some of it with over 57.5 points in the Ireland v Italy game, a bet that only just arrived after the hooter.

BLUES TO SCORE FREELY

Onto this week’s Best Bet and although they lost last week I couldn’t help but be impressed with the Blues who came out of the blocks firing.  They now play at Eden Park in front of their home fans and ijn what look like good conditions and I have to agree with @SouthpawZA tip in the Forum that the Blues would score over 27.5 points and that is my bet of the weekend.
Apologies that this newsletter is coming out so late but it has been a crazy week and given my form it might be best for you to be fast asleep when this bet arrives. I was going to look for something in the Currie Cup but will be up early to watch my son play live rugby for the 1^st time in 2 years and not sure I will get the time. The Blues it is then.
