newsletterThe latest Goodforthegame newsletter penned by @BrentGraham with best bets for the weekend 8th to 10th October and a weekend acca with @Playabets

I was away with the family last week, but that didn’t stop me from betting on plenty of rugby games and fortunately I managed to come out on top thanks mainly to a big bet on New Zealand over 28.5 points and last week’s Newsletter Bet, Australia over 4.5 tries.

The Wallaby game didn’t start well, but once Australia scored their 1st try they ran in their next 4 all in a 40 minute period and although they didn’t add to their tally in the last 20, the job was done as far as we were concerned.

I felt a bit of a traitor watching the All Black v Bok Test in the pub and I couldn’t watch when New Zealand lined up the penalty that took them to 29 points enabling me to show a profit on the game where I would have lost badly having also been on the All Blacks (-10.5).  I had no idea what the people in the pub thought and I went to cheering home a New Zealand penalty to shouting home the Springboks just a couple of minutes later (my daughter filmed the celebrations).

What a fantastic win and I can’t wait for the year-end Internationals to roll around.

THE HANDICAP

Last night’s THE HANDICAP our Rugby betting show was certainly eventful as we had a massive lightning storm in Johannesburg and my electricity got taken out leaving guests The Conductor and @HanrickSwart to go through some of the games.  I managed to get back on and the lads certainly had some confident picks across the United Rugby Championship, Bunnings NPC and Gallagher Premiership.

TARANAKI THE BUSINESS

If you watched last night’s show you will have no doubt that the Best Bet comes this weekend in the Bunnings NPC where @HanrickSwart felt the handicap was probably 8-10 points too low in the Otago v Taranaki match.  He and The Conductor are all over the minus and when these lads are confident, I hop on the train.

BEST BET: 6 units Taranaki -7.5 at 0.84/1 at Playabets
