BURNLEY VS EVERTON, SATURDAY @ 16:00
Burnley play host to Everton on Saturday afternoon looking to increase their two-point advantage over the Toffees in the Premier League table. Everton manager Marco Silva is already feeling the pressure after losing 4 of their first 7 league matches. Sean Dyche on the other hand, is once again working his magic with the Clarets and keeping them competitive in every match. Burnley will need their home form this season to stay away from the relegation zone and pick up points against teams around them. Everton fans were very excited for the season with their new signings, but the team has failed to live up to expectations. This looks like a mid table clash where Burnley wants to continue with their momentum and Everton would like to get a result away from home and start moving up the table.
BURNLEY:
The Clarets have been great this season, even though not all their results show it. They deserved something from their away travels to Arsenal and all 3 points against Wolves, but lapses in concentration have cost them. We have seen a Burnley team playing more on the front foot this season and more goals scored at both ends in their matches. They now face 3 though matches against Everton, Chelsea and Leicester, but Sean Dyche will be confident he can get results against all of those teams. Their expected goals this season: xGf 1.34 and xGa 1.26, compared to their actual goals, it’s very even and we can see why their games have been more entertaining this season. Team news: Cork is doubtful after picking up a knock against Aston Villa last weekend. Burnley will fancy their chances this weekend against a struggling Everton.
EVERTON:
The team from Merseyside’s results have been below par this season, but there were some signs of progress against Manchester City last weekend. Everton matched the Champions for most of the game and played without fear going forward. This team is very talented and should be competing with the top 6 clubs, but they can’t seem to find any consistency. Since their opening day 1-0 victory over Watford, they have conceded in every game and that makes it very difficult to get all 3 points. Their expected goals this season: xGf 1.57 and xGa 1.43, compared to their actual goals, they haven’t taken their chances at all and should improve in front of goal. Team news: Gbamin still unavailable, Gomes and Walcott will be game time decisions. Everton will be looking to build on their positive performance against Manchester City and get a result away from home.

PREDICTION:
Both teams will be confident they can get all 3 points here and I think that will lead to a very open game with chances at both ends. I don’t have faith in the Everton defence, but I do think they have enough quality up front to trouble Burnley. The Clarets will be looking to win the physical battle, especially with their strikers against the Toffees centre-backs. The pace of Everton will cause problems for Burnley, most likely on the counter attack. Both teams to score here!
