NRL ROUND 16

The Maroons players in action during this 16th round of the NRL will have to pick their heads up in a hurry as they head into another full weekend action. Let’s take a look at the early games of the weekend.

ROOSTERS vs STORM – Thu 01 July @ 11:50, Newcastle

The Melbourne men might be missing Harry Grant and Nelson Asofa-Solomona from their ranks this week whilst the Roosters will have their tail feathers in pomp at the news of young sensation Walker reporting for duty.

Unfortunately for this Chooks side I see just way too much class and calibre amongst the men in purple for them to stumble in Newcastle. The cap is well set at just over two scores.

WARRIORS vs DRAGONS – Fri 02 Jul @ 10:00, Gosford

The Warriors have caused me more discomfort than a Kurt Darren song this season as I just haven’t been able to call them right. On Friday they meet a Dragons team who bounced back with victory against the Raiders. But I just can’t be backing a team that went down 28-6 to the Bulldogs less than a month ago. It’s the Kiwis all the way for me in this one!

PANTHERS vs EELS – Fri 02 Jul @ 11:55, Penrith

Fifteen minutes into their Roosters clash in Round 15 it seemed a stumble had turned into a nose-dive for last year’s finalists. But the men in black were able to dust themselves off and put an end to their little mid-season lull. This time around Penrith have some potency back but have been stung by the news that Nathan Cleary will be sidelined for some time post Origins II.

The Eels have named a side well capable of making the Panthers sweat for the entire eighty, but the home side just look to have too much attacking weaponry at their disposal to be kept quiet in my opinion.

BETOLIMP BETS

Warriors to beat the Dragons @ 1.78

A team that gets bitten by the Bulldogs must have rabies.

Round 16 Exotics:

ROOSTERS vs STORM

Josh Ado-Carr to score 3 or more tries @ 10.00

It could be a case of the Fox running riot in the hen house if the Roosters aren’t careful!

Anytime Tryscorer: Nicho Hynes @ 2.00

Papenhuizen could very well be ready for duty but with Hynes going this well no one is rushing to speed the Doctors up on clearing old Paps.

WARRIORS vs DRAGONS

Matt Duffty to score the first try and Warriors to win @ 26.00

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck to score 2 or more tries @ 8.00

PANTHERS vs EELS

Panthers -11.5 @ 2.65

Maika Sivo to score the first try and Panthers to win @ 21.00

Villiame Kikau to score 2 or more tries @ 12.00
