Time is running out for the Aussies to try and save face. Can they trip up their strong neighbours or will they keep getting bullied…?

Highlanders vs Waratahs – Saturday 06 Jun @ 09:05, Dunedin

The Tahs have proven well capable of racking up the points yet have struggled to stay within 20 points of their Kiwi opponents. The Highlanders uncharacteristically let in four tries last week and one gets the feeling that their hunger for chasing their own five-pointers have led to the Dunedin team struggling to balance their attacking and defensive game.

The Landers need a bonus point as much as crypto currency holders need Elon Musk at this stage so it seems a certainty that the hosts will once again look to go for those tries under the roof. Not having Aaron Smith or Frizell to call on has me believing that the Waratahs will once again do some scoring of their own.

Betolimp Bets:

First Tryscorer: Ash Dixon @ 9.00

First Waratahs Tryscorer: Izaia Perese @ 10.00

Anytime Tryscorer: Kazuki Himeno @ 3.00

Brumbies vs Hurricanes – Saturday 06 June @ 11:45, Canberra

The Hurricanes have been dishing out the pain and find themselves sitting pretty in second spot on the log. Unfortunately for a team chasing bonus points and points difference they now have the two stronger Australian teams waiting for them. The Brumbies started the comp impressively but have dropped off since then. They will however be happy to finally be back playing in front of their home fans.

When they get a head of steam up this Canes side can tear you to shreds. Yet there have been enough signs from the Brumbies to suggest they will be very competitive when back in Canberra. They might not have the big guns of their opponents but they are crafty at hand-to-hand combat and I see this one becoming more of a brawl than a target shooting competition.

Betolimp Bets:

First Tryscorer: Ardie Savea @ 21.00

Last Tryscorer: Folau Fainga’a @ 13.00

Chiefs vs Rebels – Sunday 07 June @ 07:00, Sydney

Having lost to the Reds last week the Chiefs may be the one Kiwi side now out of the running. The poor buggers from Waikato got dealt a blow with their home match being turned into a visit to Leichardt Oval in NSW instead. To make matters worse they will remain in Aus for this clash sans Damian McKenzie who received a ban.

The Rebels had a raunchy weekend by their standards as previously in the Trans-Tasman they struggled to knock on the door of the girl next door, let alone make it to her bedroom. This week they will be hoping for a repeat performance but I have feeling that instead of getting the chance to spend the night they will find themselves kicked to the kerb on this occasion. The Chiefs will be hurting given how things just haven’t gone their way in this comp since coming up short in the Aotearoa final and I expect a strong attacking game from them on Sunday despite a number of changes to their squad.

Betolimp Bets:

First Tryscorer: Luke Jacobson @ 21.00

Last Tryscorer: Alex Nankivell @ 15.00

Trans-Tasman Double: Waratahs +32.5 onto Chiefs -12.5 @ 1.89
