Olimp3kSignUp jan19Couch Critic previews the betting for the Indian Premier League matches taking place on Saturday 13th April including Mumbai Indians v Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab v Royal Challengers Bangalore

MUMBAI INDIANS vs RAJASTHAN ROYALS (Saturday, 13 April – 12:30)

Setting the Scene: Mumbai are right in the thick of things at the top of the table after Kieron Pollard turned the clock back last time out. The Royals have struggled to get any sort of winning momentum going and are stuck at the wrong end of the log.

Let’s Talk Tactics: We saw a high scoring affair between the Kings and the Indians at Wankhede on Wednesday but for the most part the Indians have struggled for any sort of consistency from their batsmen.Malinga is bound to join the duo of Behrendorff and Bumrah to form a lethal trio. Their spin options are also useful but not exactly match winning.

Much like their opponents on the day the Royals have struggled getting enough runs on the board and in their case they don’t quite have the bowling attack to get away with it.

Wankhede has proven a fair, balanced track.

Verdict: Rahane and Buttler are both due a big score but Sandrew Samson is finally back from injury and I will back him to get right back to his best. We missed out last time but I will keep faith with Suryakumar Yadav to out-perform those ahead of him in the line-up. The hitting form of Pollard and Hardik Pandya does however have me looking at backing them in some way shape or form.

Bets:

Top Mumbai Batsman – SA Yadav @ 5.50

Top Rajasthan Batsman – SV Samson @ 4.90

Most Match Sixes – Mumbai @ 1.95

KINGS XI PUNJAB vs RCB (Saturday, 13 April – 16:30)

Setting the Scene: In their previous game the Kings XI finally put things together with the bat yet it didn’t prove to be enough as Pollard singlehandedly caused them to taste defeat. Currently sitting just off the pace of the other Kings, they would like to start moving closer to the top. The men from Bangalore are still looking for their first win of the tournament.

Let’s Talk Tactics: K Rahul and Gayle between them have mostly been responsible for the success of the Kings XI when it comes to wielding the willow. On the bowling front they scrap well together rather than having out and out stars.

The only consistent performer for RCB (with bat or ball) has been Chahal. The visitors will need Kohli and AB to get more runs on the board if they are to pick up their first win.

No team has been able to pass 180 in Mohali thus far.

Verdict: A struggling RCB team will find it tough to come to Chandigarh and just turn on the style and smash some wily bowlers like Shami and Ashwin around. I will go for the most in-from batsman in the comp to keep the good times rolling for the home fans. The pacey Saini offers some value for the visitors.

Bets:

To win the match – Kings XI @ 1.90

Top Kings XI Batsman – K Rahul @ 3.90

Top RCB Bowler – M Saini @ 6.70
