burnley1819We look to two matches from the English Premier League and one from Serie A for our football treble on Saturday 22nd February with the odds boosted by @Olimp_SA

After a few lean weeks our treble landed last Sunday as Spurs won at Villa, over 2.5 goals arrived in the Sampdoria v Fiorentina game and both sides scored in the clash between Lazio and Inter Milan.

Our record now stands at 5 successful trebles from 14 attempts and we keep the same match result, over 2.5 goals and both teams to score format for this weekend. All 3 matches take place on Saturday 22nd February and the odds have been boosted to 9.00

Leg 1 EPL Burnley v Bournemouth

It's all smiles at Burnley after an impressive run of 3 wins and 1 draw in the last 4 matches. Their points tally of 34 is closer to the European qualification places than than relegation zone and the recent improvement comprises of a home win over Leicester (2-1) victory at Manchester United (2-0), a 0-0 draw at home to Arsenal and last time out they were 2-1 victors at in form Southampton.

Bournemouth are hovering just above the relegation zone after a 2-1 defeat at Sheffield United last week. A late goal denied them a valuable point from that match and ended a mini revival which had delivered home wins over Aston Villa and Brighton. Bournemouth have lost 9 of their 13 road trips this season including each of the last 4.

Although Bournemouth were a touch unfortunate last week the greater momentum here is with the home team.

Prediction: Burnley Win

Leg 2 EPL Sheffield United v Brighton

Sheffield United are just 2 points shy of a Champions League place and although they have lost 3 of their last 7 league games, 2 of those defeats came against Manchester City and the other away to Liverpool. This is the sort of fixture where the Blades have been pretty consistent and if they keep their heads in the final third of the season we could well see them in Europe in 2020/21.

Brighton are still looking over their shoulders at the the relegation zone after a run of 6 games without a win. To be fair 4 of those games have finished all square and whilst they struggle to keep clean sheets, Brighton can usually be relied upon for a goal regardless of whether the result goes in their favour.

Both teams to score is our pick for Leg 2.

Prediction: Both teams to score

Leg 3 Serie A Fiorentina v AC Milan

We head to Italy for the final leg of our treble and Fiorentina, who helped us out last week, are again the focus. They were 5-1 winners away at Sampdoria last time out, a confidence boosting win after back to back defeats to high flying Atalanta and league leaders Juventus.

AC Milan edged out Torino in a home fixture last week, a 1-0 win keeping them in the top half of the standings but with plenty to do if they are to qualify for European football next season. They are in reasonable shape though with just 1 defeat in the last 7, a 4-2 loss to rivals Inter a couple of weeks ago.

Looking at recent result's you never quite know what you are going to get in terms of goal action when AC Milan take to the field, a stalemate or a goal fest however they were beaten 3-1 by Fiorentina in the first meeting this season and we pin our hopes on another game of 3 goals or more in total.

Prediction: Over 2.5 goals
