wolves1819We look to two matches from England and El Clasico from Spain for our football treble on Sunday 1st March with the odds boosted by @Olimp_SA

We were close to landing another treble last weekend. Burnley's win over Bournemouth and both sides scoring in the Sheffield United v Brighton game put us in touching distance but we needed 3 goals or more in the final leg and Fiorentina and AC Milan finished all square at 1-1.

Our record now stands at 5 successful trebles from 15 attempts and we keep the same match result, over 2.5 goals and both teams to score format for this weekend. All 3 matches take place on Sunday 1st March and the odds have been boosted to 10.90

Leg 1 Spurs v Wolves

We start in the English Premier League with this clash between Spurs, who finished Week 27 in sixth place, and Wolves who are just 1 point behind them.

Spurs 3 match winning streak came to an end at Stamford Bridge last week when they lost 2-1 to Chelsea but they are still just 4 points off a top 4 spot. Spurs are having to cope without Harry Kane and Son leaving them short of options up front but they have still been finding the net on a regular enough basis whilst 2 clean sheets in the last 11 league outings suggest they could be tighter in defence.

Wolves put Norwich away 3-0 in a home fixture last week to boost their own hopes of a top 4 finish. They often perform really well when visiting top sides and they have won at Manchester City earlier in the current campaign. Expect a big performance from the visitors who won this fixture 3-1 last season but we still fancy both teams to score as our first pick this weekend.

Prediction: Both teams to score

Leg 2 Aston Villa v Manchester City

We stay in England but switch competition and a trophy is at stake at Wembley when Villa take on the holders, Manchester City. It's a really big ask for Villa who's priority will be retaining their Premier League status but they came through a semi final against Leicester over 2 legs to get here and they will give their all in the hope of springing a surprise.

City have already beaten Villa twice this season, 3-0 in the first league meeting in Manchester and 6-1 at Villa Park in mid January. They saw off Manchester United in the semi finals and although the Champions League is the primary aim this season it will be a major surprise if they fluff their lines here.

Although City needed penalty kicks to win this trophy after a 0-0 draw with Chelsea in last season's final they returned to Wembley at the end of the campaign and demolished Watford 6-0 in the FA Cup Final.

We fancy goals again here and although the price is predictably short, we do have a more speculative play to come in the final leg of this week's treble.

Prediction: Over 2.5 goals

Leg 3 Real Madrid v Barcelona

We still need a match result pick to complete the treble and we are heading to Madrid for El Clasico. Real are second in the La Liga standings, 2 points behind Barcelona who lead the way in the title race. The teams look set to take the domestic title right down to the wire and the first meeting this season finished without a goal.

Real are unbeaten at home in the league this season, winning 8 and drawing 4 whilst Barcelona's away record of 5 wins, 3 draws and 4 defeats has room for improvement. If Barca win this a 5 point lead will take some bridging but those stats show they can be vulnerable when travelling.

It's all about which side handles the occasion better but with so much at stake and seemingly very little between the teams the draw earns our vote which will also give the odds of our treble a significant boost.

Prediction: Match result, draw
