BettingDiaryThere are 5 DSTV Premiership matches taking place on Saturday and we suggest a bet in each of them.

A reminder that you can click here for the latest Outright Betting where Mamelodi Sundowns are trading as short price favourites.

Golden Arrows v Chippa United – Click here to bet

Both of these sides are struggling towards the bottom of the table with Arrows in 15th on 5 points from 5 matches and Chippa United on exactly the same points, but slightly ahead on goal difference.

Arrows did win their most recent match a 1-0 away at AmaZulu and they are actually undefeated in their last 3 games having drawn the 2 previous matches including a goalless draw at home to TS Galaxy in their penultimate start.

Chippa United drew 0-0 at home also to TS Galaxy last time out and there last away game was a 2-1 loss to Maritzburg United.

I favour Arrows to win this one, but they look a bit short for me at 1/1 and I am going to go for both teams to score, something which has occurred in 3 of the 5 Chippa United matches.

Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, YES, at 27/20

Stellenbosch v Richards Bay – Click here to bet

Stellenbosch are 8th on the table with 6 points from their 5 matches. Last time out they lost 3-0 away at Sundowns, but prior to that were unbeaten and in their home games they have taken 4 points from a possible 6.

Richards Bay made a great start jumping to the top of the table, but they have lost back-to-back matches and currently sit 6th on the log. Last time out they went down 1-0 at home to SuperSport United and prior to that lost 1-0 on the road to Chiefs.

Richards Bay matches have averaged just 1 goal each this season while Stellenbosch games are coming in at 2.2 goals each on average.

I like Stellenbosch to win this game against a Richards Bay side that are fast finding the initial honeymoon in the top flight is over.

Suggested Bet: Stellenbosch win at 27/20

Kaizer Chiefs v AmaZulu – Click here to bet

Kaizer Chiefs are currently sitting 9th on the table with 2 wins and 3 losses in their 5 games. Last time out they lost 2-0 away at Cape Town City, but they have won both their home games against Richards Bay and Maritzburg United.

AmaZulu are covering 3rd on the table, but suffered their first defeat of the season, 1-0 at home to Golden Arrows last time out. That broke a run of 3 successive victories including a 3-2 away win over Swallows.

Chiefs have looked a different beast at home this season and I am taking them to bag the 3 points here.

Suggested Bet: Kaizer Chiefs win at 21/20

Sekhukhune v Royal AM – Click here to bet

Sekhukhune are 11th on the table with 5 points from their opening 5 games, half the points that Royal AM have in 4th although Royal AM have played a game more. Last time out Sekhukhune lost 2-1 away to Swallows, but at home this season they have taken 4 points from a possible 6.

Royal AM broke a run of 3 successive games without a victory when they beat Maritzburg United 1-0 at home last time out and Royal Am games have been amongst the highest scoring in the division averaging 2.5 goals.

I am going to go for a rare overs PSL play because the 17/10 price is too good to resist given this bet has arrived in over 50% of Royal AM matches this season and arrived in Sekhukhune’s last games.

Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 17/10

TS Galaxy v Cape Town City – Click here to bet

TS Galaxy are 5th on the title with 9 points from their 5 matches and they are the only undefeated side left in the League. They are coming off back-to-back away draws at Chippa United and Golden Arrows where there wasn’t a goal in either match or their last home game was a 2-0 win over SuperSport United. Amazingly after 5 games they have only scored 3 goals, but have yet to concede.

Cape Town City are 12th on the table after a slow start to the season and they have played a game more than most of the other teams. They did get their first win of the season, 2-0 at home to Kaizer Chiefs last time out and on the road have lost to AmaZulu and Swallows by 2-1 and 3-2 respectively.

I can’t resist going overs again here at a big price and surely at some point Galaxy’s defence has to crack. Goals tend to slow with Cape Town City on the road and let’s hope that trend continues here.

Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 7/4
