BettingDiaryThere is plenty of English Premier League action for punters to get stuck into this weekend and we take a look at 3 of Saturday’s matches from a betting angle.

Let’s start with a look at the Outright Betting where Manchester City are currently trading at 7/20 favourites ahead of Liverpool who are priced at 9/2. You can get 15/1 Tottenham, 16/1 Chelsea, 18/1 Arsenal and 100/1 and better the balance.

TOTTENHAM v WOLVES

Tottenham are 4th on the table after two games and their last match was a thrilling 2-2 draw at Chelsea. Prior to that they beat Southampton 4-1 at home.

Wolves are currently 14th on the table with 1 point in their two matches that courtesy of a goalless draw at home to Fulham last time out. Prior to that they lost 2-1 to Leeds on the road.

Wolves won this fixture 2-0 last season.

Tottenham 4/10

Draw 4/1

Wolves 7/1

Suggested Bet: Over 3.5 goals at 18/10

Tottenham’s matches have been free scoring so far this season and I get the feeling that with playing at home there are going to be plenty of goals scored and a good few conceded as well.

LEICESTER CITY v SOUTHAMPTON

Leicester and Southampton have both got off to a slow start with Leicester currently sitting in 15th ahead of Southampton in 17th on goal difference. Both teams have taken 1 point from their first two games, Leicester losing 4-2 away at Arsenal last time out after drawing 2-2 at home to Brentford in their opener and Southampton drew 2-2 at home to Leeds having lost 4-1 away at Tottenham in their opening fixture.

Last season’s meetings between these sides had plenty of goals with Leicester winning this fixture 4-1 and the reverse fixture being drawn 2-2.

Leicester City 17/20

Draw 3/1

Southampton 3/1

Suggested Bet: Over 3.5 goals at 15/10

I am going in with the same bet here at a slightly shorter price, but both the head-to-head stats and form this season suggests we are going to get goals in this one.

BOURNEMOUTH v ARSENAL

Bournemouth are 11th on the table with 1 win and 1 loss in their opening two games, that loss came 4-0 away at City last time out, but they had a good 2-0 home win over Aston Villa to start their season off.

Arsenal are sitting with a 100% record in 2nd place behind Manchester City on goal difference. They beat Leicester 4-2 at home last time out and prior to that saw off Crystal Palace 2-0 on the road.

These sides played out low scoring fixtures last season with this fixture getting drawn 1-1 and Arsenal winning 1-0 at home.

Bournemouth 13/2

Draw 15/4

Arsenal 4/9

Suggested Bet: Handicap, Arsenal -1.5 goals at 23/20

The Gunners have looked very impressive so far this season and I think Bournemouth are going to find it a very different proposition to facing Aston Villa. Arsenal to win this game by more than a goal is my call.
