Everton v Liverpool – Click here to bet

What a great game to kick start the weekend with a Merseyside Derby the early kick off. Everton are currently sitting 17th on the table without a win in 5 matches, but having drawn their last 3 games. Liverpool are 6th on the table having taken just 2 points from their opening 9 they bounced back with home victories over Newcastle and Bournemouth.

Four out of the five Everton games have seen both teams find the net and that is where I am going for the bet.

Suggested bet: Both teams to score, YES, at 5/6

Brentford v Leeds – Click here to bet

Brentford are 11th on the log on 6 points from 5 matches, 2 points behind Leeds who sit 7th. Brentford have taken 2 points from the last 9 they have played for and are coming off back-to-back 1-1 draws away at Palace and at home to Everton.

Leeds drew 1-1 to Everton last time out and their last away game was a 1-0 defeat to Brighton. Both victories for Leeds this season have come at home and they have yet to win on the road.

I think we are going to get goals in this game, but under 2.5 is priced just a bit short for me at 8/11 so I am going to stick my neck out and go for 4 goals or more in the match.

Suggested bet: Over 3.5 goals at 17/10

Chelsea v West Ham – Click here to bet

Chelsea are battling in mid-table with 7 points from their opening 5 games and they face a West Ham side that has climbed to 14th having been bottom of the log after 3 matches.

Chelsea lost 2-1 away to Southampton last time out and their last 4 matches have all seen backers of over 2.5 goals collect profits. West Ham drew 1-1 at home to Tottenham and prior to that beat Aston Villa 1-0 on the road. All 5 of their games have had 2 goals or less in them.

Goals are flowing in fairly freely in Chelsea matches and I get the feeling that West Ham are going to start playing more attacking football as well.

Suggested bet: Over 2.5 goals at 7/10

Newcastle v Crystal Palace – Click here to bet

Newcastle are 12th on the log, 1 position and 1 point ahead of Crystal Palace in 13th. Newcastle were coming off 3 successive draws and had yet to taste defeat when they went away to Liverpool, but they conceded a late injury time winner in midweek. Crystal Palace are coming off a 1-1 home draw to Brentford and their last away game was a 4-2 loss to Manchester City, a game where they led 2-0.

I am quite surprised to see over 2.5 goals priced at even money here as this is a game where I do fancy the goals to flow at both ends.

Suggested bet: Over 2.5 goals at 1/1

Nottingham v Bournemouth – Click here to bet

Nottingham are 15th on the table, 1 position ahead of Bournemouth on goal difference. Both of these sides had heavy defeats in their recent past with Nottingham losing 6-0 to Manchester City on the road in midweek and Bournemouth going down 9-0 away to Liverpool on the weekend. Bournemouth did bounce back with a goalless draw at home to Wolves.

While Bournemouth’s away record looks terrible conceding 13 goals and scoring none, but matches have been against the top two sides in the League in recent seasons and I actually think they are well priced here to get the 3 points.

Suggested bet: Bournemouth win at 11/4

Tottenham v Fulham – Click here to bet

Tottenham are 3rd on the table and yet to taste defeat this season. They drew 1-1 away at West Ham in midweek. Fulham are 8th on the table with just 1 defeat in their 5 matches and they beat Brighton 2-1 at home in their midweek action.

Spurs are worthy favourites here, but it is the goal markets where I fancy my chances and I am betting that there will be 4 goals or more in the game as both teams have played in some high scoring fixtures this season.

Suggested bet: Over 3.5 goals at 31/20

Wolves v Southampton – Click here to bet

Wolves are currently in the final relegation spot in 18th position and they are without a win in their opening 5 games. They are coming off a draw away at Bournemouth and prior to that drew to Newcastle at home.

Southampton are 9th on the table and have won 2 of their last 3 matches including beating Chelsea 2-1 at home last time out. Their last away game was a 2-1 win at Leicester.

Wolves have had the better of Southampton in recent times, but I think Southampton are well priced to grab the 3 points here.

Suggested bet: Southampton win at 9/4

Aston Villa v Manchester City – Click here to bet

Aston Villa v Manchester City is our final game on Saturday and features the team in second from bottom of the table, Aston Villa against second from top of the table, Manchester City.

City’s matches average 4.8 goals each this season with their last 3 games all having 5 goals or more in them. Villa games have been lower scoring, but 3 of their last 5 games have delivered profits for over 2.5 goal backers.

Manchester City are rampant at the moment, but they have been conceding goals and Villa have a habit of giving them a hard time. I am going to back Manchester City to win by 1 goal exactly a result which has occurred in the last 3 matches between the sides.

Suggested bet: Handicap, Aston Villa +1 goal, the draw at 29/10
