BettingDiaryWe take a look at the 5 English Premier League matches taking place on Wednesday and suggest a bet in each.

BURNLEY v MANCHESTER CITY

Burnley have been hit and miss in recent times with 3 wins and 3 losses in their last 6 games. The most recent match was a 2-0 away defeat at Chelsea and their last home game was a 3-2 victory against Villa.

Manchester City are top of the table and have now won 8 games in a row, most recently beating Sheffield United 1-0 at home despite not being at their fluent best. Prior to that they hammered West Brom 5-0 away from home.

Burnley 13/1

Draw 11/2

Manchester City 2/9

Suggested Bet: Goals away team 3 or more at 1/1

City have scored 14 goals against Burnley in their last 3 League meetings and I am expecting an entertaining fixture.

FULHAM v LEICESTER

Fulham occupy the final relegation spot, sitting in 18th position. They are without a win in their last 10 matches although 7 of those have been draws, most recently 2-2 away at West Brom.

Leicester saw their title chasing hopes take a big knock on the weekend when they lost 3-1 at home to Leeds. Their away form has been strong this season though with 7 wins and 2 draws in 10 matches.

Fulham 3/1

Draw 51/20

Leicester 19/20

Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals and Leicester to win at 7/4

I am expecting Leicester to return to winning ways and think we could have goal mouth action at both ends.

LEEDS v EVERTON

Leeds are 12th on the table, but coming off back-to-back victories away at Leicester and away at Newcastle. Their most recent home match was a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Brighton. Leeds matches are the highest scoring in the Division with 3.6 goals each on average and over 2.5 goal backers would have collected in 13 of their 20 games.

Everton have slipped to 8th on the table after a home defeat to Newcastle on the back of a home draw against Leicester. Their away form has been good though with 6 wins and a draw in 9 starts and they have won their last 3 away games in succession.

Leeds 14/10

Draw 53/20

Everton 37/20

Suggested Bet: Everton win at 37/20

Everton will like the fact that Leeds come at them and I am backing them to get their 4th successive away victory.

ASTON VILLA v WEST HAM

Aston Villa are sitting 9th on the table and have won 2 of their last 3 games, most recently beating Southampton 1-0 away. Their last home game was a 2-0 win over Newcastle.

West Ham are 5th on the table after seeing a 4 match winning streak ended with a 3-1 loss at home to Liverpool on the weekend.

Aston Villa 12/10

Draw 5/2

West Ham 47/20

Suggested Bet: Aston Villa win at 12/10

I have been impressed by what I have seen from Villa recent times and have a feeling that West Ham may be about to start a slide down the table.

LIVERPOOL v BRIGHTON

Liverpool have recovered from a wobbly run and back-to-back victories see them sitting 3rd on the table, 4 points behind Manchester City who have a game in hand going into this midweek round of fixtures. They will need to turnaround some disappointing recent home form which has seen them take just 2 points from the last 9 they have played for and their last home game was a shock defeat against Burnley.

Brighton are sitting 17th on the table, 7 points clear of the relegation zone. They have taken 7 points from the last 9 they have played for including a 1-0 home win over Tottenham, a game which they dominated on Sunday night. Their most recent away game was a 1-0 victory at Leeds. None of Brighton’s last 4 matches have had more than a goal in them.

Liverpool 4/10

Draw 4/1

Brighton 7/1

Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, YES, at 19/20

Liverpool will come hard at Brighton who look capable of hitting them on the break and this is a bet that would have arrived in the last 3 head-to-head’s between the teams.
