WSB Logo Orange 80x80The Miami International Autodrome in Florida is the venue for this weekend’s Miami Grand Prix and we take a look at the race from a betting angle.

Sergio Perez won the Azerbaijan Grand Prix at a starting price of 9/2 last week. Perez had started 3rd on the grid behind Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and ended up winning the race by over 4 seconds from Leclerc with Perez’s teammate, Verstappen back in 3rd.

The result means things have tightened up on the top of the points standings where Verstappen sits on 93 points ahead of his teammate, Perez on 87. Fernando Alonso is a distant 3rd on 60 points.

Verstappen is still a short priced favourite at 1/8 to win the title with Perez at 6/1 and you can get 25/1 and better the balance.

Max Verstappen 5/10

Sergio Perez 33/10

Charles Leclerc 14/1

Fernando Alonso 16/1

Lewis Hamilton 25/1

George Russell 40/1

Carlos Sainz 40/1

150/1 and better the balance, all prices correct at the time of writing but are subject to change

Suggested Bet: Sergio Perez win at 33/10

Verstappen is still a worthy favourite for the race, but I am getting 6 times more the price on Perez, a man who has won two Grand Prix’s in the opening 4 races. It is hard to look past the Red Bull duo and I am hoping Perez can turn it on again and really get people thinking about the Title race.

This bet also comes with a money back for 2nd place promo at WSB

Suggested Bet: Podium Finish, George Russell, YES, at 4/1

Russell is yet to podium this season, but he did show plenty of speed last week where he captured the fastest lap. I get the feeling that he is going to come to hand soon and this looks a nice play at the price.
