BettingDiaryThe 3rd and final T20 between South Africa and Ireland takes place in Belfast on Saturday and the Proteas will be looking to wrap up a 3-0 Series victory.

The Proteas won the 1st T20 by 33 runs in Dublin and then the series moved to Belfast where the Proteas were in big trouble at one point before recovering to win by 42 runs.

South Africa won the toss and decided to bat first and found themselves in real trouble at 58 for 5 halfway through the innings. David Miller then walked to the crease and whacked a lightning quick 75 off 44 balls with 5 6’s and with support from Wiaan Mulder who got 36 at a strike rate of 138 they saw South Africa to 159 for 7 in their 20 overs.

The Irish bowlers shared the wickets around although the pick must have been Stirling with 2 for 12 off his 3 overs.

Ireland were quickly in trouble when Kevin O’Brien got another duck and they never really looked like chasing the score eventually getting bowled out for 117 with Getkate the top score with 24 runs in 18 balls.

Our bet on Shamsi landed and he got 3 for 14 in his 4 overs although mention must be made of Bjorn Fortuin with 3 for 16 in his 4 overs including a maiden.

3RD T20 BETTING – Click here to bet

Ireland 15/4

South Africa 1/5

Suggested Bet: Top away Batsman Markram at 7/2

De Kock is a firm favourite here but I think Markram is the value. He has looked good at times but still battles to covert starts and I am hoping that changes in Belfast.

Suggested Bet: Ireland Pre-Match handicap +6.5 wickets/+27.5 runs at 17/20

The fact that this is a dead rubber may see the Proteas step off the gas a bit and as the ODI showed us there is not as much between the sides as the betting suggests.
