BettingDiaryThere are plenty of betting opportunities for punters to get involved in on Friday including the bronze medal match in the Rugby World Cup, we take a closer look at this and other options in our Daily Betting Diary.

RUGBY

New Zealand will be looking to put the defeat to England behind them when they face Wales in the Bronze Medal match and there has been money for them this week and the handicap has shifted from (-18.5) to (-19.5).

There are a number of New Zealand players who will be taking part in their final International and we do think that Wales could be ripe for the taking. We are backing New Zealand to get off to a fast start with over 17.5 points in the first half for the All Blacks currently quoted at even money.

A quick look at the Rugby World Cup Final where the betting is still very stable although England have now edged out to (-5.5) points from an opening quote of (-3.5) earlier in the week. The lines sat at (-4.5) for most of the week, but there is significant money coming for the English. More on this game in our Weekend Betting Diary.

In Pro 14 Rugby the Southern Kings are in action on Friday night away at Glasgow and they are rank outsiders at 14/1 with Glasgow (-25.5) points. It is hard to know what to make of this Kings side who came back to bet the handicap last week against Benetton, but Glasgow look to have selected a strong side and we think it is going to be one-way traffic.

SOCCER

The Telkom Knockout Cup quarter-finals takes place this weekend and on Friday night we have Maritzburg United in action against Highlands Park. This looks to be a very competitive game with the home team, Maritzburg 14/10, the draw 19/10 and Highlands Park are 47/20.

HORSE RACING

Local Horse Racing takes place at the Fairview Polytrack, an 8 race card getting going at 12:35 and set to finish at 16:45.

As usual we have scanned the card for a couple of bets and we like Horse No. 8, Lunchpack in the 1st Race, currently priced at 5/1. There are a number of firm favourites in some of the Pick Six races and the one we fancy as a banker is Horse No. 6, Deepston currently 16/10 in Race No. 5.
