BettingDiaryThere is plenty of top quality sport to bet on this Friday and we cover some of the highlights and also a look ahead to the weekend.

AFCON 2019

We are down to the last 16 in AFCON and there are 2 games taking place on Friday.  Morocco are 6/10 favourites to see off Benin who are 23/4 with the draw quoted at 49/20.  It will come as no surprise to those who have followed this Tournament closely that under 2.5 goals is as short as 4/10.

The second game sees Uganda against Senegal and Senegal are currently the 17/4 second favourites to win the Tournament behind favourites Egypt who are 63/20. South Africa are 43/1.

Senegal are 11/20 to see off Uganda within the 90 minutes and from what I have seen of this Tournament so far they look like one for your accumulators.

ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP

Pakistan take on Bangladesh on Friday and while mathematically they could still make the last 4, this is in effect a dead rubber as their net run rate is so inferior to that of New Zealand who currently sit 4th and who they can draw level with on points. You can click here to read our match preview where our cricket tipster has gone for Haris Sohail to be Man of the Match at 20/1.  Sohail hasn’t started in every game, but when he has been given a chance he has taken that opportunity with both hands.

CYCLING TOUR DE FRANCE

The Tour de France gets going on Saturday and World Sports Betting have come out with a number of markets including who will win outright, who will win the Team Classification, the Points Classification and the King of the Mountains.

The first stage is expected to finish in a sprint and here we have a firm favourite in Dylan Groenewegen at 16/10 ahead of Caleb Ewan just shy of 3/1.

WIMBLEDON

The action continues at Wimbledon on Friday and South African Kevin Anderson is 1/7 to see off Guido Pella who is 9/2.

One of the clashes of the round could be Daniil Medvedev v David Goffin with Medvedev a narrow 15/20 favourite and Goffin available at even money.

The women’s draw has also thrown up a tasty encounter on Friday with Simona Halep an 8/10 favourite to beat Victoria Azarenka who is even money.  My suggestion would be to pick the winner of that game and throw it into a double with Caroline Wozniacki a 7/20 shot in her match as I don’t see her being beaten.

HORSE RACING

Local Horse Racing takes its place at the Fairview track on Friday with action getting going at 12.05 pm and the 9th and final race scheduled to go off at 16.45 pm.

By now I have no doubt that you have been bitten by Durban July fever and you can read our betting preview by clicking here.

Hawwaam who went to 24/10 in yesterday’s diary has shortened once again to 22/10 with Do It Again still firm in the betting at 4/1 and Rainbow Bridge and Barahin unchanged at 7/1.

WSB have priced up on several exotic markets for the July including the Winning Trainer, the Age of the Winning Horse and Matchplay Bets between Horses and you can click here for the exotic markets.

SUPER RUGBY FINAL

After some initial support for the Jaguares this market has stabilised at 12.5 points with the Crusaders favourite.  We are expecting the Jaguares to come firing out of the blocks and a bet which we think offers some value is that they lead after 20 minutes at 22/10.

Look out for our Weekend Sports Diary where we will also cover the fight between Sebastian Formella and Thulani Mbenge with the South African Mbenge currently priced as the 7/10 favourite.
