BettingDiaryUS Open Tennis, European Tour Golf and the Vuelta a Espana are amongst the sports betting highlights on Thursday.

GOLF

The Omega European Masters starts on Thursday and recent FedEx Cup winner, Rory Mcilroy is the favourite at 4/1. Next in the betting is Matthew Fitzpatrick at 17/2 on the back of a runner-up finish behind Erik Van Rooyen last week and the South African is on offer at 30/1 which given what looks like a very solid temperament could well be worth adding to your coupon. Fitzpatrick’s record at this event is unparalleled and he goes for a hat trick and prior to that had finished 7th and runner-up. Still Van Rooyen looks value at 30/1 and another player we fancy is Lukas Bjerregaard at 40/1. Bjerregaard was runner-up here last year after a Top 10 the year before and he should be fresh after a bit of a break.

TENNIS

The US Open continues on Thursday and the Men’s draw, John Isner is a 15/20 favourite to beat Jan-Lennard Struff, we fancy the big server to do the business.

Another interesting matchup is Alexander Zverev an 11/20 shot to beat Frances Tiafoe who is 14/10.

There is Exotic Betting on all the matches including Total Games and Total Sets.

The Ladies Tournament also continues on Thursday with one of the more intriguing matchups between Caroline Wozniacki and Danielle Rose Collins with Wozniacki a 13/20 favourite and Collins priced at 5/4.

CYCLING

Stage 6 of the Vuelta a Espana is slightly short of 200 kilometres and once again offers the riders a number of challenges and while there are no massive climbs it is certainly not one for the sprinters. Miguel Angel Lopez of the Astana team took the lead in Stage 5 with his 4th place finish, but it was certainly a day for the bookmakers as surely very few had money on Madrozo who won from the break.

All Vuelta markets are updated daily and we also have a Stage Winner and Stage Match Betting.

FOOTBALL

Varsity Cup football continues on Thursday with the 6th round of matches and TUT are top of the table with 10 points, 2 points ahead of NWU and UFS.

The two televised matches feature UWC against TUT where TUT are 17/20 favourites and NWU against CUT where NWU are 11/10 to win the match.

With a massive weekend of English Premier League Football ahead what better way to get warmed up for it than betting on the Varsity Cup

A quick look ahead to the weekend and the big English Premier League match between Arsenal and Tottenham. The Gunners are currently 3rd on the table and they are currently 27/20 to beat Tottenham who suffered a surprise 1-0 home defeat to Newcastle last weekend.
