kxp2019Match 28 is the second leg of Saturday’s IPL double header and it sees Kings XI Punjab host an increasingly desperate opponent in the shape of the Royal Challengers Bangalore

Kings XI Punjab

Kings XI were involved in a thriller away at Mumbai on Wednesday and they were edged out by 3 wickets off the last ball of the game. Rahul’s terrific form continued and after sharing a first wicket partnership of 116 with Chris Gayle (63) he went on to make an unbeaten century. KXP posted 197/4 and had the game well under control until Pollard smashed 83 off 31 balls and Mumbai scraped home.

Kings XI now have 4 wins and 3 defeats against their name and they return to Mohali where they have won 3 from 3. They beat the Sunrisers by 6 wickets here earlier in the week, they also won the first meeting with Mumbai by 8 wickets and beat Delhi by 14 runs on this ground.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

RCB have had a break since losing at home to Delhi by 4 wickets last Sunday. That was their sixth defeat in 6 outings and they are the only side in the tournament still looking for a win. Away from home RCB were thumped at Chennai by 7 wickets and at the Sunrisers by 118 runs. They also lost away to the Royals by 7 wickets in what has been a disastrous season so far.

Head to Head

Matches 22, Kings XI wins 12, RCB wins 10

This will be the first meeting between the sides this season. In 2018 the Royal Challengers won by 4 wickets in Bangalore and they went on to complete the double with a 10 wicket win in Indore.

Betting Angle

Whether a lengthy break will have allowed RCB to refocus is the question but Kings XI have been in red hot form in Mohali and have batsmen in-form.

Lokesh Rahul, the KXP wicket keeper who opens the batting has landed Player Performance bets for us in KXP’s last 2 games. With 1 point awarded per run, 10 points per catch and 25 points per stumping he is again on the radar to chalk up more than 37.5 points currently on offer.

Bet: Player Performance Kl Rahul Over 37.5 points at 17/20
