RCB were in action at home to the Super Kings on Sunday and they edged a thrilling game by just a single run. RCB posted 161/7 batting first with Parthiv Patel top scoring with 53. CSK had a nightmare start to the chase, losing 4 wickets with just 28 runs on the board during the power play. MS Dhoni refused to throw in the towel, he smashed an unbeaten 84 including 7 maximums. CSK still needed 26 off the final over and Dhoni hit 24 off the first 5 balls before a run out off the last delivery. Dale Steyn returned figures of 2/29 for RCB.

After losing their first 6 matches RCB have won 3 of the last 4 but they remain bottom of the standings.

Their other victories this season came away at the Kings XI (8 wickets) and away at the Knight Riders (10 runs)

 

 

Kings XI Punjab

Kings XI lost to the Capitals by 5 wickets in Delhi in their most recent outing on Saturday. Chris Gayle’s 69 was the top score in their bat first total of 163/7 but Delhi chased it down with 2 balls to spare.

KXP now have 5 wins and 5 defeats against their name but 4 of those victories came in Mohali. Their only success in 5 away fixtures came against the Royals by a 14 run margin in Match 4.
