Batting first the Warriors posted 151/8 with Cloete’s 28 the top score. It didn’t look enough and the Cobras had a centurion in the shape of Malan as they coasted to victory in 15.5 overs.

The Warriors started their tournament with a 4 run (DLS) upset win away to the Titans where they conceded 216 runs bowling first and they were 60 without loss after 6 overs when play was halted for a second time. A wet outfield in their subsequent visit to the Knights in Kimberley saw the game abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Verdict:

The Lions really should be sat on 3 wins from 3 as they let things slip in their opening game. However they have won their last 2 matches with something to spare and are taken to go in again on Sunday.

Suggested Bet: Lions to win at 15/20
