SpainEuroMonday's final match in the European Championships comes from Seville where Spain open their campaign with a Group E clash with Sweden.

Group E Betting Update

Spain are the favourites to top this quartet at around 3/10 with Poland next best at 11/2, Sweden 6/1 and Slovakia are trading at around 16/1.

Spain

In qualifying for these finals Spain finished top of the log, 5 points clear of Sweden, their opponents here, whilst Norway, Romania, Faroe Islands and Malta failed to make it. Spain were unbeaten with 8 wins and 2 draws (in Norway and Sweden) and they scored 31 goals and conceded just 5.

Spain's early World Cup 2022 qualifying campaign started disappointingly with a 1-1 draw at home to Greece followed by wins in Georgia (2-1) and at home to Kosovo (3-1).

In a couple of recent warm ups Spain drew 0-0 with Portugal and beat Lithuania 4-0.

Spain's odds to win the tournament are around 8/1

Sweden

Sweden scored 23 goals and conceded 9 in finishing as runners up to Spain in the qualification group and their only defeat came in Spain where they went down 3-0.

World Cup 2022 qualifying started with a 1-0 home win over Georgia and a 3-0 win in Kosovo.

The most notable recent friendly matches saw Sweden win against Estonia (1-0), Finland (2-0) and Armenia (3-1)

In the outright betting to win the tournament Sweden are trading at around 90/1

The Betting

Spain are trading at around 9/20 to win the game with the draw at 7/2 and Sweden can be backed at around 7/1

A game of 3 goals or more is priced at 21/20 and it's 12/10 for both teams to score.

The Verdict:

Spain have the advantage of playing all their group matches in Seville and in qualifying they comfortably had the better of the Swedes in the home fixture.

I don't want to oppose Spain on that evidence although some less than convincing WCQ displays would be of concern. I'm going to go with a game of 2-3 goals in total and additional interest comes in the shape of Gerard Moreno to score anytime on the back of a terrific season for Villarreal

Bets: Total match goals 2-3 at 9/10

Anytime goalscorer Gerard Moreno at 29/20
