Rajasthan Royals host Mumbai Indians in the second of Sunday’s Indian Premier League matches and after a disappointing start to the tournament Mumbai are now looking to chalk up back to back wins.
In the tournament outright winner betting at the time of writing the Royals can be backed at around 18/1 and the Mumbai Indians are priced at around 7/1. We also have a whole host of other outright markets which can be viewed here.
The Royals were in action on Friday away to the Super Kings and they crashed to a 64 run defeat when chasing 205 for victory. The Royals have won 2 of 5 matches with their best performance coming last weekend when they scored 217 away to RCB. Sanju Smason aside their big guns have generally failed to fire with their only other victory coming in a rain affected game at home to the Daredevils.
Sanju Samson has scored 187 runs in his 5 innings whilst Gopal and Laughlin have taken 5 wickets a piece.
After starting with 3 straight defeats Mumbai won at home to RCB by 46 runs on Tuesday. They recovered from losing 2 wickets in the first 2 balls, led by Rohit Sharma who scored 94 and Evin Lewis (65) to post 213/6 which proved to be more than enough.
Mumbai were a touch unfortunate to lose their first 2 matches which went down to the wire before they tripped up against the Daredevils but if they can come out on top here they will be back in contention.
Evin Lewis is leading Mumbai run scorer with 142 runs in 4 knocks and Mayank Markande has taken 8 wickets in their 4 games so far.
