ELUSIVE RUN benefitted from her debut experience and she made smart improvement over seven furlongs in a competitive contest on this course second time out. She should enjoy the extra furlong and can stake a serious claim here. STRAWBERRY FIRE also tries the mile and she had a decent sprint debut in a big field at long odds two weeks ago. The daughter of Silvano has a midfield barrier and she should make heaps of improvement.

The four-year old LINDLEY'S LANE is undoubtedly best over this distance and she has regained her form in recent outings. She was effective with frontrunning tactics in a similar field over this c & d earlier this month and her conditioner has cleverly engaged a 4kgs claiming apprentice aboard the daughter of Pathfork. The Kotzen inmate may enjoy a soft lead in this small field and she could take some catching in the home straight.

However, the chestnut daughter of Starcraft continues to drop in the merit ratings and she can deliver a major upset from her favourable draw in this weaker company here.
