The latter is drawn alongside the first selection and she should contest minor money.

VIA SACRA is on the up after two wins from her first three outings and the KZN visitor has her peak showing in the 'Mother City' today. The daughter of Pathfork could still be comfortably ahead of the handicapper despite the resultant four pound penalty and she is worth following. Interestingly, she dispatched another Brett Crawford inmate in the form of Make It Raine recently so the conditioner of today's main rival, VICE VERSA will have a good line to work with.

Just eight entrants head to post for this competitive handicap over the mile but there should be a decent gallop and a true result is expected. The four-year old bay filly was handed a four pound penalty for her exertions but she seemed to have a bit in hand that day and can follow-up despite the slight rise in class.

The top weight SOLANA had a slightly below-par recent showing behind JANICE'S SECRET but she may have felt the effects of her decent comeback run prior to that. The daughter of Querari will be cherry-ripe here and she can take full advantage of a rather generous recent six pound dock in her merit rating. She meets her conqueror on 5.5kgs better terms for that 4.35 lengths defeat. The latter will be fitter and must still be considered on her hat-trick attempt as she may have escaped with just the minimum two pound penalty. The extra furlong is no issue for the imported bay.
