MASTER REDOUTE ran a fair race on debut against winners. He was green in running, but stayed on nicely to finish just over 2 lengths behind the winner. The son of Querari would have gained from the experience and should love the extra furlong on offer. With the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the one to beat.
Race 7: CRIMSON PRINCESS(3)

CRIMSON PRINCESS has good form to her credit. She was running on well to finish second over 1500m on this course last time. She won her only attempt over this C&D when shedding her maiden tag. She finished 2.75 lengths behind GREY PRINCESS in her penultimate effort. She is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Aldo Domeyer steps back into the saddle and the pair should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.

CHANSONETTE followed up her debut win with a decent third-place finish over 1200m at Kenilworth. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day suggests that she will love the rise to the mile. The daughter of Vercingetorix takes on older rivals this afternoon, but is lightly raced and looks to have scope.
