Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 3: WIND FINDER(8)
Jockey: R Fourie    - Trainer: Y Bremner

WIND FINDER returns from an 11 week rest, but she has only had the one run which was over the c&d. She finished a close up second that day despite being bumped. She attracted some outside betting support which would suggest that the stable believe that she has some ability. If returning fit, she should be right up there when they reach the wire.

Race 5: SPIRIT OF SONG(3)
Jockey: M Yeni   - Trainer: G Smith

SPIRIT OF SONG'S last three runs on this surface have been solid and she seems to have taken on a new lease on life since trying the polytrack. She could get that consistency rewarded and notch up her second career win this afternoon.

TOP BET

Race 6: SIR FRENCHIE(1)
Jockey: R Fourie     - Trainer: Y Bremner

SIR FRENCHIE finished strongly to win his last start over six furlongs and has consistent overall form to his credit. He steps up to the seven furlongs for the first time for his new trainer, but the way in which he overhauled the field in his last outing, this should not be an issue. He jumps from a poor draw, but he should be picking off the frontrunners in the closing stages of the race.

Race 7: REBEL WILSON(4)
Jockey: R Fourie     - Trainer: Y Bremner

REBEL WILSON was slow into stride in her last outing over the c&d, but was running on well in the closing stages, so her wide draw may not be too much of a hindrance. She has finished second in her two starts over the c&d and will be wanting to go one better here.

VALUE BET

Race 8: OPEN FIRE(2)
Jockey: W Agrella- Trainer:  Y Bremner

OPEN FIRE goes for his trio of wins here and the way he has gone about winning his last two starts, this is very much on the cards. He has a tricky draw to deal with, but he likes to set the pace in his races and may be able to get across without using up too much energy. The one concern is that Richard Fourie has switched rides to partner his stable companion COYOTE CREEK for the first time.
