The son of Gimmethegreenlight returns from a 17-week break today, during which time he would have strengthened up. If fit and well, he should take a power of beating in this type of field.

TIME STANDS STILL produced an encouraging debut effort when finishing 2nd over six furlongs on this course. He was reported to be not striding out that day, which makes the effort that much more encouraging. The son of Time Thief would have gained from the experience and should make the natural improvement. He gets the services of Luyolo Mxothwa which is a big plus.

Jockey: Ndlovu X - Trainer: Greeff A
MERYL has top form to her credit and was ultra-impressive when winning her comeback run over 2400m on this course. She pounced on the lead at the 400m mark that day and cruised clear for the victory. She does try the 3200m for the first time and if jockey Xolani Ndlovu is able to switch her off early, she should have no issues with the extra distance on offer.

MADAME SPEAKER has very good consistent form lines to her credit. She moved up well in the Fairview 1400 last time and held on where it matters most. She loves racing over this c&d with a record of two wins, two seconds and two thirds from seven outings. The daughter of Pathfork will strip much fitter this afternoon and should take a power of beating.
