MERYL has found a new lease of life since moving up to PE from the Mother City reeling off two wins on the bounce and the manner in which she drew clear of the rest of the field in her last win over nine furlongs, the hat-trick is very much on the cards. Her regular pilot Xolani Ndlovu will do duty again.

Jockey: G Cheyne   - Trainer: A Greeff

The Blushing Bride formline features prominently in this race and CALANDRA did best of those entered in this contest. She has a wide draw to overcome, but she was running on well in the finish of that last start over this c&d and should be picking off the frontrunners in the closing stages here.

Jockey: G Cheyne     - Trainer: A Greeff 

ROCK ALOE has only had the two runs, but he drew off well to win his second outing over 1300M on this surface. He steps up to the mile today, but if staying the extra ground, he may be the one that they all have to beat. He does start from a tricky draw, but it is encouraging that stable jockey Greg Cheyne has kept faith in the gelding.

CRUISE CRUZ has not finished too far behind in all six of his starts since relocating from KZN, five of which have been on this surface. He jumps from a poor draw, but he likes to set the pace in his runs and he might be able to get across without using up too much energy. He did finish second in his only start over this c&d.
