CUTTING EDGE ran on too late last time out over seven furlongs, which was a repeat of what he did in his two runs prior to that, also over the same distance. He steps up to the mile today and if he is able to start his run earlier, he should be a strong contender for the winners enclosure. His handy draw is a plus.

CARLBURG clearly enjoyed the sand when making a winning start to his career in Kimberley. He took the lead at the 300M mark and kept going well to win at big odds. He has a wide draw to overcome, but with a bit of luck in running, he may be able to complete the double here.
