Race 1

GUEST GETORIXX has finished second in her last two starts over this C&D. She should have finished closer to the winner last time as she hung and shifted away from the crop in the closing stages. She meets the right field this afternoon and if keeping on a straight line, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

LADY CHOCOLAT has shown improvement in each of her outings to date. She raced from a handy position over 1200m last time, but did not go on with the effort which suggests that she will enjoy the drop to 1000m. She jumps from a good draw of two and should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

ADDIENA took an awkward stride at the 800m mark last time, but stayed on to finish 2.2 lengths behind the winner. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. Her penultimate run when finishing third over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville was encouraging. If suited to the polytrack, she can feature.

Race 2

CLEAN SLATE has decent consistent form lines to his credit. He raced from a handy position over 1400m last time and fought hard all the way to the line. He finished third in his penultimate run over this distance and with luck from his wide draw, he is capable of shedding his maiden tag.

DEATH BLOW should have finished closer to the winner last time as he hung in the latter stages. Keagan de Melo retains the ride and from pole position, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice. BRAVE

VOYAGER finished 3.6 lengths behind the second choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.

Race 3

NATIONAL DREAM stayed on at the finish over this C&D last time, but found one too good in the form of In The Summertime. The son of Rafeef is a progressive type and may be the one to side with. PETECA has been costly to follow in recent outings. He set a fast pace over 1700m last time, but was caught in the shadow of the post. He is having his peak run today and if seeing out the 2000m, he should go close.

LIKETHECLAPPERS made the expected natural improvement when finishing third over 1700m on this course. He finished 0.8 lengths behind the second choice that day. The son of Pomodoro should strip much fitter today and may have more to come.

Race 4

MR PIGALLE has fair consistent form lines to his credit. He finished 1.3 lengths behind RUNNING RIFLES in his penultimate run. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He has won twice and finished second once from five starts over this C&D. He is likely to be switched off near the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

RUNNING RIFLES has finished second in his last three starts. He was unlucky last time as he had to be switched at the 400m mark and the 250m mark. He is having his peak run today and with a bit of luck, should fight out the finish.

SEA MASTER set the pace over 1700m last time and fought hard, but found one too good in the form of Grimaldi. The blinkers seem to have done the trick and he merits healthy respect.

Race 5

VOLDEMORT ran on powerfully when winning his last start over this C&D under Richard Fourie. He received the minimum two-pound penalty for that victory. The son of William Longsword takes on slightly stronger, but he is in a good space and can follow up.

PATRONAGE was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over this C&D. He raced from a handy position, moved up well and held on where it matters most. He always gives of his best and can notch up his sixth career victory.

DOUBLE MARTINI was doing his best work late when finishing fourth over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. He won his penultimate start well over 1550m on this course. With just 53kgs on his back, he cannot be ignored.

Race 6

This is a competitive Merit Rated 88 Handicap for the girls and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is LEE EXPRESS from the visiting Fabian Habib stable. She raced from a handy position last time and stayed on nicely to finish third. She has won twice and finished second once from four starts over this distance. If suited to the Polytrack, she may be the one to beat.

IMBEWU has decent consistent form lines to her credit. She finished 0.75 lengths behind the top choice in her penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the wire.

MCKENNA SKYE has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. She ran a good race when finishing third in her last start over this C&D. From her midfield draw of five, she should be right there at the finish.

Race 7

CORNER CRUSADE ran a good race when finishing second over this C&D last time. She showed good pace, but found one too good in the form of Zanetto. She has won once and finished second three times from as many starts over this C&D. The daughter of Crusade takes a drop in class and should strip much fitter. From barrier three, she can return to winning ways.

DESERT PRIDE is having her first run for the Garth Puller stable. She ran a fair race when finishing fifth over 1400m on this course, nine weeks ago. She continues to drop in the ratings and should be one of the leading contenders.

GIN AND TONIC ran a fair race over 1000m from the widest draw last time. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. She takes a drop in class and should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 8

GIMME A LULLABY showed good signs of a form return in her last start over this C&D with the pacifiers and tongue-tie fitted. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She has cracked pole position and if repeating that effort, she should have a winning chance.

GLOBAL SECRET should have finished closer last time as she had to be steadied at the 200m mark. Her penultimate run over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville was encouraging. She is back against her own sex today and merits healthy respect.

NEW ORLEANS got up on the line when winning her last start over 1000m on this course. She received the minimum two-pound penalty for that victory. 1.5kgs claiming apprentice Cole Dicken retains the ride and she can follow up
