Race 1

SENOR GARCIA’S last three starts have been decent. He should have finished closer to the winner last time as he was inconvenienced in the latter stages. The son of Coup De Grace is having his second run after a rest today and should strip much fitter. Richard Fourie retains the ride and in this type of field, he can shed his maiden tag.

SPACE COWBOY has shown good improvement in each of his outings to date. The blinkers seem to have done the trick and he will strip much fitter. The son of Dynasty is having his first run on the Polytrack and if suited, he should go close to winning.

FORGOTTEN TIME hails from the visiting Paul Matchett yard. He finished his race off nicely when second in the Workriders Vs Jockeys Challenge last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. If all went well with his travels, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 2

BRAVE VOYAGER ran a good race when finishing second over this distance on the turf last time. He raced from a handy position from a wide draw of thirteen and stayed on nicely to finish second. His best effort to date has been on this course. He has cracked a handy barrier position today and in this type of field, he should take a power of beating.

AL BUGATTI raced wide in his last start over 1400m at Kenilworth. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. Richard Fourie takes the ride on his local debut and may be able to get the best out of him.

DEATH BLOW finished 0.05 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 4kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around. He is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back.

Race 3

TOP ME UP HOLLY showed good guts when winning her last start over 1600m on this course. Her pilot dropped his crop that day which makes the victory that much more encouraging. She is unbeaten from two starts over this distance. She is drawn widest of all, but is likely to use her early gate speed to get across without using up too much energy. The daughter of Master Of My Fate can notch up her sixth career victory.

ELECTRIC SURGE’S last three starts have been decent. She stayed on nicely to finish third in her last start over 2400m against the males. She is back against her own sex and with S’manga Khumalo retaining the ride, she should pose a threat.

ROTUNDA was a tad disappointing in her last start over 2000m on this course. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight may be better suited to this type of distance at this stage of her career. Richard Fourie takes the ride from draw two and the pair merit healthy respect.

Race 4

WITH PLEASURE took on much stronger in the Grade 1 SA Derby last time. His previous two efforts were encouraging. The son of Oratorio is having his first run for the Dean Kannemeyer stable. He takes a drop in class and if settled into his new surroundings, he should be too good for this field.

SYX HOTFIX has very good consistent form lines to his credit. He stayed on nicely at the finish last time, but found one too good in the form of Etiquette. He meets a similar type of field today and should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

GALABIER has won his last two starts over 2000m with ease. He does take a rise in class, but is in a good space and can notch up the hat-trick.

Race 5

PERFECT APPEAL followed up her maiden win with a decent third-place finish over this C&D. She raced from just off the pace and stayed on at the finish. The daughter of Crusade takes a slight drop in class and if 4kgs claiming apprentice Mfanelo Zuma is able to keep her on a straight line, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

GREEN DREAM was in need of her comeback run over this C&D against male company. She has won once and finished second three times from six starts over this C&D. She will strip a much fitter horse this afternoon and with 1.5kgs claiming apprentice Kaidan Brewer back in the saddle, she should return to best form.

WINTER’S DESTINY has run three good races since winning her maiden. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in her last outing has come out and won since. She will be mowing down the frontrunners.

Race 6

KILEIGH’S FATE is one of the better bets on the card in what appears to be a weak Merit Rated 66 Handicap. She was unlucky in her last start as she was brushed by another horse at the 600m mark and the 400m mark. She has cracked a good draw of three and can notch up her third career victory.

NOT NOW PUSSYCAT is better than her last start when she raced wide around the tun. She returns from a 19-week break which may have done her the world of good. She has won three times and finished second twice from sixteen starts over this C&D. If not in need of the run, she should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.

MISS GIBSON raced wide in her last start over 1950m which may have been too far for her at this stage of her career. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She has taken a drop in the ratings and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

Race 7

MAJORCA PALACE finished 1.75 lengths behind PROUD MASTER last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He has won twice, finished second once and third once from five starts over this C&D. He is having his second run after a rest and can return to winning ways.

PROUD MASTER won a good race in his last start over this C&D. The manner in which he ran on was eye-catching. The son of Master Of My Fate has ability and can follow up.

JUSTAGUYTHING has good recent form lines to his credit. He finished 1.5 lengths behind the second choice last time and is 2kgs better off at the weights. That is enough to turn the tables, but his wide draw of eleven is an obvious concern.

Race 8

TRUE BRIT showed good pace in his last start over this C&D and stayed on to finish third. The tongue- tie seems to have done the trick on the son of Great Britain. He takes a drop in class and can return to winning ways.

ALFONSA SPAGONI has won his last two starts well. It must be noted that the horse that finished third in his last outing has come out and won since. He is likely to be switched off near the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

BEVOETERD finished 0.4 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result
