Race 1

KING OF SPIN set his own fractions over this C&D last time, but found one too good in the form of The Grey King who has come out and won again since. The son of Canford Cliffs is a progressive type. He has cracked pole position and can go one better.

GIVETHATMANABELLS stayed on when third over this C&D last time. He finished 0.4 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the wire.

PRESSONREGARDLESS finished 1.7 lengths behind the top choice in the race referred to above. The pair meet on the same weight terms and he may have to settle for the same result.

Race 2

CHARLENE stayed on when second over 1200m on this course last time. She found one too good in the form of Tres Chic that day who has come out and finished third since. With a bit of luck from her awkward draw of nine, she can shed her maiden tag.

ICE RAIN challenged strongly in her last start over this C&D, but found one too good in the form of Nile The Boss. The blinkers seem to have done the trick on the daughter of Vercingetorix. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

ROCKING PEONIE finished 0.55 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the wire.

Race 3

VOORLOOPERTJIE showed very good improvement in his last start over 1400m on this course. It must be noted that The Grey King has come out and won again since. He is a progressive type and will love the rise to the mile. The son of Vercingetorix will strip much fitter and from pole position, he may be the one to beat.

LIGHTNING GLOW ran a good race when second over 1400m last time. He returns from a 13-week break, during which time he was gelded. If not in need of this outing, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

MR BELVEDERE showed good improvement in his last start over this C&D. The blinkers seem to have done the trick on the son of Ideal World. Richard Fourie takes the ride and there may be more to come.

Race 4

ROSH KEDESH finished 0.75 lengths behind PROMETTERE last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He has won once and finished third once from three starts on this course. The son of Vercingetorix is having his peak run today and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

PROMETTERE won a game race in his last start over 1400m on this course. He has won once and finished second twice from five starts over this C&D. He is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

KINGDOM OF HEAVEN should have finished much closer to the winner last time as he had no luck in running. He takes a rise in class but carries a handy galloping mass of 54kgs and should be up to the task at hand.

Race 5

PREVALENCE has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He stayed on to finish 1.9 lengths behind the winner in Class 3 Company last time. The son of Gimmethegreenlight drops in class and from his good draw of three, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

COASTAL COMMANDER stayed on when second over 1200m last time. The son of Lancaster Bomber should have no issues with the rise to the mile. If keeping on a straight line, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.

ROYAL SWAN MASTER is lightly raced with good form lines to his credit. It must be noted that Innamorare has come out and won again since. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

Race 6

PASSCHENDAELE followed up her maiden victory with a good second-place finish over this C&D. She set the pace and should have won as she hung in the final 400m. The daughter of Querari takes a drop-in class and she may be the one to beat.

WINDRUNNER won a good race in her last start over this C&D. Her penultimate run when third behind Red Palace catches the eye. She looks to be above average and can follow up.

ENCHANTING CHOICE finished 1.5 lengths behind the second choice last time. She is 3kgs better off at the weights which is enough for the tables to be turned. However, WINDRUNNER won easier than the official margin suggests and she may still have the upper hand.

Race 7

HOLD MY HAND was her own worst enemy in the Grade 3 SplashOut Victress Stakes as she lost two lengths leaving the start and over raced in the early stages. However, the manner in which she stayed on at the finish was encouraging. She will strip a much fitter horse. If Richard Fourie is able to switch her off early, she should be too good for this field.

ROYAL INVITATION finished 1.65 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 1.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around.

SILVERLINKS finished 1.95 lengths behind the top selection in the race referred to above. She is also 1.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

Race 8

GIMMETHATPEARL followed up her debut victory with a fair effort over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. She was reported to have blood in her mouth that day. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight takes a drop-in class and from pole position, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

RANI OF JHANSI should have finished closer to the winner last time as she was held up for a run at the 150m mark. The daughter of Vercingetorix would have come on from the run and will love the rise to 1400m. Athandiwe Mgudlwa steps back into the saddle and she should pose a threat.

TRIP TO MAPUTO stayed on when third over this C&D last time. She has cracked a good draw of three and merits obvious inclusion with Aldo Domeyer retaining the ride.

Race 9

BENJAMIN has taken on much stronger company in his last two starts. He has won three times, finished second twice and third once from twelve starts over this C&D. The 6yo gelding takes a drop-in class and on best form shown, he may be the one to beat.

LINES CROSSED showed good improvement in his last start over 1100m on this course. He has won once and finished third twice from six starts over this C&D. If confirming his recent improvement, he should pose a threat.

MIGHTY MAC ran a good race when third in his last start over this C&D. He takes a rise-in class but is in a good space and should earn another cheque for his patrons
