Race 1

KAIBOY produced a promising debut effort over 1100m on this course. He was slow into stride, raced from just off the pace and stayed on well to finish second. The son of One World would have gained from the experience. Aldo Domeyer is booked to ride and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the one to beat.

WORLDLY ran a fair race on debut over 1100m on this course. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The son of One World should make the natural progression.

KRIM is an unraced son of Vercingetorix from the Brett Crawford stable with Luyolo Mxothwa in the saddle. He is related to multiple winners including Missisippi Burning and Donquerari. If not too green, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other first timers.

Race 2

TALK TO THE MASTER was an easy winner when shedding his maiden tag over this C&D last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Master Of My Fate is a progressive type and in this field, he should follow up with another victory.

MISS WORLD showed good speed when winning her maiden at the second time of asking. She does take on male company, but is a progressive type and should give a good account of herself.

EL CAPITAN finished 4.5 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result. He will strip much fitter and may have more to come.

Race 3

CONNERY took the lead at the 300m mark last time, but was outrun late by Explosive Speed. He finished second in his penultimate effort over this C&D. The son of What A Winter meets the right field today and with Richard Fourie back in the saddle, he can get it right this afternoon.

MANEKI NEKO finished 3.75 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today which is not enough for the tables to be turned. If finding the form of his penultimate run, he should be involved at the finish.

APPROACH SHOT showed good speed over 1200m last time but found one too good in the form of Go It Alone. The son of Gimmethegreenlight should have no issues with the drop to 1000m and he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 4

SPIRIT GUIDE showed some improvement in her last start over 1100m on this course. It must be noted that First Masterpiece has come out and won again since. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight is a progressive type and she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

CHARLENE’S last two starts have been good. She returns from a 14-week break which may have done her the world of good. If not in need of the run, she should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.

ROCKING PEONIE’S last three starts have been fair. It must be noted that the form of her last outing has been franked. She drops to 1200m and the blinkers should keep her mind on the task at hand. It is encouraging that Richard Fourie keeps faith in the ride.

Race 5

EINSTEIN ran a fair race in his last start over 1000m on this course. His penultimate run when second catches the eye. The son of What A Winter meets the right field this afternoon and if putting his best foot forward, he can shed his maiden tag.

TWENTYTWENTYVISION returns from a 17-week break, during which time he was gelded. His previous two efforts at Hollywoodbets Durbanville were encouraging. If not in need of this outing, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

COSMIC RHYTHM ran a decent race in his last start over 1400m. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He will strip a much fitter horse today and can earn another cheque for his patrons.

Race 6

SAINT BRIGID’S last three starts have been good. She stayed on when second over this C&D last time. It must be noted that Plum Pudding has come out and won again since. The obvious concern is the widest draw of eleven, but Aldo Domeyer will give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

GREEN ISLE finished 0.75 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

SANSA STARK ran a good race when second in her last start over 1800m on this course. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. Richard Fourie retains the ride and she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 7

OCTOBER MORN ran a good race when second in the Grade 3 SplashOut Prix Du Cap last time. It must be noted that Double Grand Slam has come out and won again since. She has won twice from three starts over this C&D. Grant van Niekerk is booked to ride and she may be the one to side with in this competitive field.

RIO QUERARI finished 1.5 lengths behind DANCE VARIETY last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Bernard Fayd’Herbe is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

DANCE VARIETY won a good race in his last start over 1100m on this course. He finished 0.75 lengths behind WINTER CLOUD in his penultimate run. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and should turn the form around.

Race 8

ICY BLAST produced decent consistent form lines before given a 15-week break. He has won once and finished second once from three starts over this C&D. He comes into this contest well-weighted and if not in need of the run, he can notch up his second-career victory.

TOUGH TERRAIN stayed on when fourth in the Non-Black Type Easter Sprint last time. He does take on weaker opposition this afternoon and if finding the form of his penultimate run, he should pose a threat.

THE ABDICATOR won a good race in his last start over this C&D. He finished 0.3 lengths behind the second choice in his penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line.

Race 9

AUGUSTA BLUE should have finished much closer to the winner last time as he had no luck in running. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. The son of Gimmethegreenlight has cracked pole position and if all goes according to plan in running, he may be the one to cause the upset.

LE LEGIONNAIRE won a good race in his last start over this C&D. He set his own fractions and found extra where it matters most. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

BIG UNIT has decent recent form lines to his credit. He has been unlucky with draws but with luck in running, he should earn another cheque for his patrons.

Race 10

WORLD OF PLEASURE was an easy winner when shedding his maiden tag over this C&D. He set the pace, found another kick and won with a ton in hand. The son of One World does take on stronger and older, but he looks to have class about him and should be up to the task at hand.

KEBONALESEDI stayed on when fourth over this C&D last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He takes on weaker opposition today and is one of the leading contenders.

LIKETHECLAPPERS stayed on at the finish last time but found one too good in the form of Radicchio who has come out and won again since. He has cracked a good draw of two and must be included in all bets
