Race 1

WHISTLE THE TUNE was not disgraced when fifth in the Grade 3 City Of Cape Town Cape Of Good Hope Nursery last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The daughter of Captain Of All takes on weaker company this afternoon and she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

QUID PRO QUO was an easy winner when shedding her maiden tag at the third time of asking over this C&D. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. It is interesting that the blinkers have been fitted. She is a progressive type and can follow up.

WOZA NAWE ran on well when second on debut over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she can go one better.

Race 2

TERIYAKI won his last start over this C&D but was demoted to third after causing interference. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and if he is able to keep him on a straight line, he should take a power of beating in this field.

FLYINGCOOL finished behind the top choice on debut. He lost a length leaving the start, but stayed on at the finish. The son of Flying The Flag would have gained from the experience and should make the natural progression.

VENCEDOR was in need of his debut effort over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. Rachel Venniker retains the ride and he should make the natural improvement.

Race 3

MAGMA MAGIC should have finished much closer to the winner last time as he hung and shifted away from the crop in the closing stages. He cast a shoe in running that day which didn’t help his chances. The son of Erupt is having his peak run today and he should be cherry-ripe. If finding the form of his penultimate run, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

CATS PAJAMAS produced an encouraging debut effort over this C&D. The son of Rafeef would have gained from the experience. He does take on older rivals but should make the natural progression.

GLAMORZ set the pace over 1400m on the Polytrack last time and fought hard all the way to the line. The 1200m should be ideal for the daughter of Last Winter and she should give the males a run for their money.

Race 4

SUN BLUSHED ran on powerfully when winning his last start over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He has won twice, finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. He is clearly in a good space and should notch up his fifth-career victory.

CAPTAIN BOMBSHELL raced from just off the pace last time, moved up but was outrun late by the top choice. He runs well for apprentice Siphesihle Hlengwa and merits healthy respect.

TEFLON MAN produced a strong finish when winning his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. He carries a handy galloping mass of 54kgs and if settled into KZN, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

Race 5

CAPE EAGLE has good consistent form lines to his credit. He raced from a handy position and rallied late to finish second over 1950m last time. He has won twice and finished second three times from as many starts on this course. The 6yo gelding tries 2450m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should be the one to beat.

ONE WAY TRAFFIC stayed on when fifth in the Grade 3 New Turf Carriers Western Cape Stayers last time. He has won once and finished third twice from four starts over this distance. If not in need of this outing, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.

PIRATE PRINCE ran a good race when second over 1800m on the Polytrack last time. He has finished second once and third once from as many starts on this course. He will be at peak fitness and can finish in the money.

Race 6

IVY LEAGUE showed some signs of needing her comeback run over 1600m on this course last time. The daughter of What A Winter would have come on from the run and should enjoy the rise to 1750m. With a bit of luck from her awkward draw of eight, she can return to winning ways.

MARY’S GREENLIGHT got up on the line to win her last start over 1600m at Turffontein. She is the highest rated horse and if all went well with her travels, she should pose a massive threat.

CELTIC BEAUTY won a good race in her last start over this C&D. This is her toughest test to date but she looks to be above average and must be included in all bets.

Race 7

PONTE PIETRA should have finished closer to the winner last time as he had no luck in running. The son of Vercingetorix has won twice and finished third twice from as many starts on this course. If settled into KZN and from pole position, he can return to winning ways.

IMILENZEYOKUDUDUMA finished 2.45 lengths behind NARINA TROGON last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

NARINA TROGON was an easy winner in the Listed Kings Cup. He took the lead at the 250m mark, quickened up well and won with a ton in hand. He is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

Race 8

SHANTA’S PRIDE produced an encouraging comeback run over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. She should have finished closer to the winner that day as she had to be switched for running room at the 200m mark. She takes a drop in class and is back against her own sex. She will strip a much fitter horse and can return to winning ways.

PRITTI VICTORY stayed on when fifth over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. She gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Brevan Plaatjies which will assist her chances.

WESTERN WISHES stayed on when fourth over 1000m at Turffontein last time. S’manga Khumalo retains the ride and she will be mowing down the frontrunners
