She is related to seven-time winner Bold Resolve and if not too green, she should start her career on a positive note.
TEEREX is a son of New Predator from the Kumaran Naidoo stable and Kabelo Matsunyane takes the ride. He is related to multiple winners including Friend Request and Basilica Santos.
RIVERSTONE hails from the Gavin van Zyl yard and he is a son of The United States. He is related to two-time winner Rocket Fire. It is encouraging that Muzi Yeni takes the ride and he should give a good account of himself.
Race 2
DADDY’S JET produced a promising debut effort over this C&D. The manner in which she finished off her race that day was encouraging. The daughter of Flying The Flag would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should be the horse to beat.
RIO SUPREMO finished 1.6 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.
MADAM SENATOR is an unraced daughter of Trippi from the Tony Rivalland stable with Muzi Yeni in the saddle. If not too green, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.
Race 3
ROCK N ROLL GIRL has shown good improvement in each of her outings to date. She raced from a handy position against male company last time, but found one too good in the form of Rugger Bugger. The daughter of Canford Cliffs is having her second run after a rest and should strip much fitter. She is back against her own sex and may be the one to side with.
FORTUNE BAY has finished second in all three efforts to date. The daughter of William Longsword gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep her mind on the task at hand. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
TABATHA CAT should have finished closer in her comeback run as she was brushed at the 450m mark and 250m mark. The daughter of The United States will strip a much fitter horse today and in this type of field, she can finish in the placings.
Race 4
SWISS PARADISE is a filly taking on the males. She was a tad disappointing in her last start at Hollywoodbets Greyville. It must be noted that Get In The Q has come out and won again since. Her debut effort over this C&D catches the eye. She gets the services of 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Malesela Katjedi and has plenty of scope.
AXEL COLLINS showed good improvement in his last start over this C&D. The manner in which he finished off his race that day was encouraging. If keeping on a straight line, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
LAST SURVIVOR hails from the Paul Matchett stable. His last three starts with the blinkers have been fair. Richard Fourie takes the ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
Race 5
CAPTAIN FONTANE ran on from last when second in his last start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He returns from a short 10-week break which would have done him the world of good. He has won twice and finished second once from as many starts on this course. His last victory came under Ashton Arries and he can return to winning ways.
PARTY TIME’S last three starts have been good. He should have won last time as he hung in the closing stages. The son of Vercingetorix will strip a much fitter horse today and he merits healthy respect.
AQUA BOLT finished 0.95 lengths behind the second choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result. He is having his second run after a rest and will strip much fitter.
Race 6
LUCKY MISS finished 0.6 lengths behind MONASHADA last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She has won once, finished second once and third once from four starts over this C&D. She meets a small field of seven runners and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
MONASHADA won a good race over this distance last time. She received a two-pound penalty for that victory. Richard Fourie retains the ride and she can follow up.
HAWKER TYPHOON has produced two fair runs since returning from an 11-week break. She brushed the inside running rail at the 500m mark last time. The daughter of Toreador is back against her own sex today and she will be cherry-ripe.
Race 7
NORTHERN WARRIOR stayed on when fifth over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. Two of his three career victories have come over this distance. Rachel Venniker steps back into the saddle and she takes the 1.5kgs off his back. On best form shown, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
SON OF ZEUS finished 1.75 lengths behind BEECHAMWOOD BOY last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
BEECHAMWOOD BOY fought hard for his last victory over this distance on the Polytrack. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He meets a similar type of field and with Richard Fourie in the saddle, he can follow up.
Race 8
DUCHESS OF GOLD was her own worst enemy over 2000m last time as she overraced in the early stages. However, she stayed on to finish second behind American Style who has come out and won again since. The daughter of Duke Of Marmalade will enjoy the drop to 1600m and in this line-up, she should go one better.
BLAZING KISS ran on well when second over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. She should have finished closer that day as she was awkwardly placed in the latter stages. With a bit of luck from her wide draw of eleven, she should be one of the leading contenders.
MYTHICAL TUNE should have finished closer last time as she had excuses in the straight. The daughter of Noble Tune will enjoy the drop to the mile. She jumps from a good draw of four and in this line-up, she can finish in the placings
