WASHINGTON SQUARE was ultra-impressive when winning his last start over the minimum distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He showed plenty of speed that day and cruised clear to win by 5.5 lengths. He received the maximum penalty that day, but the manner in which he won suggests that there is definitely more to come from the son of Seventh Rock. Warren Kennedy does duty this afternoon and the pair merit healthy respect.

It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Dynasty is yet to be unplaced from three attempts over this c&d and merits healthy respect with Anton Marcus in the saddle.

The daughter of Ashaawes has been campaigning against slightly stronger opposition than she takes on today and it is encouraging that S'manga Khumalo takes the ride. She has won over this distance before and from her good draw of four, she could notch up her fourth career victory.
