Magic Tips Best Bets

Jockey: G Cheyne  - Trainer: A Greeff

The top quality local speedster JUAN TWO THREE once again has all the right credentials and he should take a power of beating on highly favourable terms in this Pinnacle Stakes event. That said, he will get some stiff competition from the versatile yet poorly weighted chestnut gelding DAWNBREAKER who had a remarkable last victory over the mile in the final leg of the Poly Challenge.

Race 7: AVIEMORE(6)
Jockey: M Yeni  - Trainer: G Smith

The For Luck Sake c & d formline is well-represented in this contest and AVIEMORE can build on his fair local form. The new recruit to the Gavin Smith ranks stayed on for 3rd in the above-mentioned event on his polytrack debut and he would have gained plenty from the track experience. The former Cape resident now has his peak showing in the province and is again drawn best of all.

Race 8: JOKING DICE(6)
Jockey: J Penny - Trainer: T Spies

JOKING DICE has come to form well in recent c & d efforts even displaying her versatility in terms of tactics. The chestnut daughter of Crusade fought on well for a creditable 2nd to the useful Fools Garden after displaying frontrunning tactics in her penultimate run. Then she came from off the pace to finish a decent 3rd in stronger company next time out and quite surprisingly she escaped without a penalty for both those performances.

Jockey: G Cheyne  - Trainer: A Greeff

It could pay to follow the progress of Joking Dice in the prior event as the first selection here, FOOLS GARDEN, beat the former over this c & d recently with a bit to spare. That was the ex-Cape resident's handicap debut run which quite surprisingly earned her just the minimum two pound penalty. She has strong claims of completing the hat-trick today.

Jockey: G Cheyne   - Trainer: A Greeff

The imported filly DAMARALAND is plagued with issues but she had an eye-catching local sprint debut on this surface despite returning from a lengthy 28 week absence. She finished exactly one length adrift of BRING ME MORE that day but will strip much fitter and she should enjoy the step-up to the mile.
