BROOKIE made a smart return from a three month absence when beaten little more than half-a-length by Speed Monitor over 1600m recently. He can go one better here despite a four pound hike by the handicappers. The race becomes wide open if looking beyond BROOKIE, but best of the rest may be DANCING DUDE, who must be better than some rather flat recent runs but who on his day is fully capable of contesting the finish to a low key handicap like this.

MISTER GEGE looks progressive and fought on well after racing handy throughout when he beat Razzle My Tazzle quite comfortably in June. He is in fact undefeated from two tries over this distance and it may well pay to stick with him in this very moderate handicap.
