COME THE DAY didn't beat much over this trip in the maiden ranks recently but the lightly raced colt showed an impressive turn of foot and he still has decent room for improvement. He has his third run after the lengthy 25 week absence and it is encouraging that his top young rider retains the mount on the son of Await The Dawn who has his handicap debut.

He holds a decent c & d record and should bounce straight back after a handy two pound drop in his rating.
