CHANGING SEASONS is an improving three-year old handicapper who found an extra gear when equipped with blinkers in his gutsy c & d triumph five weeks ago. He was expectedly upped just the minimum two pounds in his merit rating but his courage indicates that he could still have more to offer.

TRIP TO PARADISE has remained consistent and despite a change in tactics in an all apprentice affair over a mile recently, the Trippi gelding fought on gamely for a close 2nd. He was only upped a pound as a consequence and is ideally suited to this shorter trip. He is the stable's only representative on the day and can go one better.

This is a competitive handicap with riding engagements from the Houdalakis yard being rather interest- ing as the stable jockey Karl Zechner has opted for TEENAGE DREAM as opposed to BRAXTON who produced a high quality recent effort. That said, the former has a solid c & d record and she drops heavily in class after contesting back-to-back features. She finished a creditable two lengths adrift of the subsequent Grade 1 runner Al Danza prior to that.
