LETS PLAY POKER has produced two good second place finishes to date. It must be noted that the form of his last outing has been franked. He will strip a much fitter horse today and should the top choice fluff her lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

ITTLE BALLERINA ran a good race when third in the Grade 3 City Of Cape Town Cape Of Good Hope Nursery last time. She is having her first run on the Highveld and with Gavin Lerena in the saddle, she may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
GREY FANTACY’S last start must be ignored as her pilot was dislodged as they left the starting stalls. Tristan Godden who rode JUST RECKLESS last time has opted to ride this daughter of Danon Platina. She is capable of finishing in the placings.
Race 3
PISTOL PETE is unbeaten from three starts to date. He showed good speed when winning the Listed Storm Bird Stakes last time. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody clearly has class about him and should have no issues with the rise in distance. Calvin Habib retains the ride and he should win again.
FIRE ATTACK finished 3.25 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 2kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.
PROCEED was an easy winner over this C&D last time. He showed good speed and was geared down at the finish. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He does take on much stronger but is above average and should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 4
SANDRINGHAM SUMMIT should have won the Grade 1 TAB SA Classic last time as he hung in the final 400m. The son of Gimmethegreenlight has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this distance. If keeping on a straight line, he should notch up his fifth-career victory.
LUCKY LAD should have finished closer to the winner in his comeback run last time as he had to be switched for running room at the 250m mark. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. If seeing out the 1400m, he is capable of returning to winning ways.
ANFIELDS ROCKET ran a fair race in the Grade 3 TAB JJ The Jet Plane Stakes last time. The manner in which he finished off his race that day was encouraging. He won his only attempt over this C&D. He jumps from a good draw of three and may be the one to cause the upset.

SILVER SANCTUARY stayed on when second in the Grade 1 Wilgerbosdrift SA Fillies Classic last time. The manner in which she finishes off her races suggests that she should have no issues with the rise to 2450m. The daughter of Silvano is the class horse in this contest and she should be the one to beat.
LET’S GO NOW should have finished closer to the winner last time as she was switched for running room at the 200m mark. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight should have no issues with the rise to 2450m and she may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

MRS GERIATRIX ran a fair race in the Grade 3 SplashOut Prix Du Cap last time. It must be noted that Double Grand Slam has come out and won again since. She is unbeaten from two starts on this course and should find a form return.
BAVARIAN BEAUTY finished 5.25 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may battle to turn the form around. She is having her peak run today and will be cherry-ripe.
Race 7
THUNDERSTRUCK was given a peach of a ride when winning the Grade 2 Khaya Stables Diadem Stakes last time. He showed good speed and fought hard all the way to the line. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He has won once, finished second once and third once from as many starts over this distance. If all went well with his travels back to the Highveld, he should follow up with another victory.
DYCE is better than his last start as the jockey reported something to be amiss. He won a good race in the Grade 1 World Pool Cape Flying Championship in his penultimate run. If finding the form of that effort, he should pose a massive threat.
WILLIAM ROBERTSON finished 2.75 lengths behind MOVER AND SHAKER last time. He is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

PURPLE PITCHER set the pace in the Grade 1 TAB SA Classic last time and fought hard to hold all challengers at bay. The son of New Predator tries the 2450m for the first time. He is likely to get a soft lead and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should be too good for this field.
MARAUDING HORDE is a winner of his last three starts. He quickened up well to win his last start over 2000m on this course. The son of Vercingetorix should have no issues with 2450m and from his good draw of two, he is one of the leading contenders.
PURE PREDATOR finished 2 lengths behind the top choice last time. The manner in which he finished off his race that day suggests that he will love the rise to 2450m. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
Race 9
ROYAL VICTORY ran a good race when third in his comeback run over 1500m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He won a good race in the Grade 1 Betway Summer Cup in his penultimate run. It is encouraging that Muzi Yeni steps back into the saddle and from his good draw of three, he may be the one to side with.

CRIMSON KING won a good race in his last start over 2400m on this course. He was given a peach of a ride that day. The son of Dynasty tries the 2850m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he can follow up.
RED MAPLE finished 0.5 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish. The daughter of Silvano should have no issues with the rise to 2850m
