Outright Update

Stage 16 was won by Patrick Konrad (tipped at 33/1 in our preview) with a long range solo attack from the breakaway. Sonny Colbrelli and Michael Matthews were second and third to earn big in the Points Classification.

The GC men came in almost 14 minutes down and as far the GC is concerned Pogacar remains in yellow with Uran +5:18, Vingegarrd is +5:32, Carapaz +5:33 and Ben O Conner +5:58.

In the outright betting “without Pogacar” Vingegaard is 11/20 favourite with Uran at 3/1

Mark Cavendish leads the Points Classification with 279 ahead of Matthews 242 and Colbrelli 195. Cav is 0.28/1 to win this competition with Matthews 3/1.

Wout Poels now leads the KoM competition with 74 points, Michael Woods has 66 and Quintana has 64 points along with Wout van Aert. Poels is 5/2 favourite to win this competition

The Verdict

Mountain stages have generally seen breakaway riders but as we get near to the end of the tour and riders look to test Pogacar as well as battle for podium places that may change.

We will hedge our bets and take Carapaz from the GC and Miguel Angel Lopez from the break.

Don't forget the money back special promotion for a second place finish and also the option to bet in play.

Bets: Richard Carapaz at 8/1

Miguel Angel Lopez at 20/1
