Outright Update
Stage 18 came down to a GC battle and it was won by Tadej Pogacar ahead of rivals Vingegarrd and Carapaz, the same top 3 as we saw on the previous stage.
As far the GC standings are concerned Pogacar remains in yellow with Vingegarrd +5:45, Carapaz +5:51. Rigoberto Uran totally cracked so Ben O Conner is fourth +8:18
Mark Cavendish leads the Points Classification with 298 ahead of Matthews on 260 and Colbrelli on 208
The KoM competition is now led by Pogacar with 107 points ahead of Wout Poels 88 and with a flat stage, an ITT and a sprint in Paris to come and barring accidents Pogacar is set to land 3 jerseys, yellow, polka dot and also white for best young rider.

Stage Profile
The stage is 207km long and the only categorized climb, a Cat 4, comes early which should help a breakaway get established. The intermediate sprint comes at 54km, there are some lumps in the final 30km or so leading to the finish at Libourne

If it comes to a bunch sprint then Cavendish, who is on the verge of breaking the record for the most TdF stage wins, will be hard to beat. However the breakaway may not be without hope and the possibility of a long range solo also exists. At the prices available a speculative play on Jasper Stuyven might pay dividends.
Dylan Van Baarle is another profile suited rider and he could pop up at huge odds if given the license to go for this stagae by his team.
Don't forget the money back special promotion for a second place finish and also the option to bet in play.
Bets: Jasper Stuyven at 25/1
Dylan Van Baarle at 150/1
