2nd Leg Match Result PSG 19/10 Draw 28/10 Bayern Munich 13/10

Bayern were 9/10 favourites to win last week's first leg in Munich but they were 2-0 down in 28 minutes. The defending champions pulled 1 back before a half time and equalized after the break before PSG recovered to grab a winner.

PSG goal machine Mbappe was on target twice in the first leg, scoring after just 3 minutes and finding the winners mid way through the second half. Mbappe was also the key factor in the Round of 16, scoring 4 of PSG's 5 goals in a 5-2 aggregate win over Barcelona including a hat trick in the first leg at Camp Nou which PSG won 4-1.

In Ligue 1 PSG won 4-1 away to Strasbourg at the weekend but they are in second place in the title race, 3 points behind Lille and with Monaco and Lyon on their heels.

In the outright betting to win the tournament PSG can be backed at around 42/10 (in from 8/1 since the first leg)

The 3-2 first leg scoreline gives Bayern plenty to do and they will again be without injured striker Lewandowski for this game and possibly for the remainder of the month.

The first leg defeat was Bayern's first loss in this season's Champions League. They won both legs of the Round of 16 clash with Lazio, taking control of the tie with a 4-1 win away from home in the first leg making the return, which they won 2-1, something of a formality.

In the outright betting to win the Champions League Bayern are currently trading at around 71/10.

Bayern drew 1-1 at home to Union Berlin in the Bundesliga at the weekend but they remain top of the standings, now 5 points clear of Leipzig.

Verdict:

PSG's Champions League form has been improving rapidly since the early group matches, they still have work to do to clinch a semi final place and I see scope for another high scoring game. I'm going to take my chances with 2 goals or more in the first half.

2nd Leg Match Result Chelsea 9/10 Draw 26/10 Porto 32/10

Note that Seville is the venue for both legs of this tie and Chelsea are in control after a 2-0 win in the first leg. Mason Mount scored in the first half and Chilwell gave them more daylight near the end and although the venue is neutral, those 2 strikes will be counted as away goals.

Chelsea's Round of 16 match up with Atletico looked likely to be tight but Chelsea won both legs, 1-0 in Madrid and then 2-0 in London and Chelsea remain unbeaten in this competition and in the outright betting to lift the trophy Chelsea are trading at around 4/1

Chelsea's Premier League form had been rock solid but they suffered a first defeat under Thomas Tuchel prior to the first leg when they were beaten 5-2 by West Brom after being reduced to 10 men when they were 2-0 up. However last weekend Chelsea were 4-1 winners at home to Palace and they are currently in fifth position in the EPL, 1 point off a top 4 spot.

Porto obviously have it all to do but they pulled off a big surprise in the Round of 16 when they knocked out Juventus on away goals. They won the first leg 2-1 on home turf and the return went into extra time after Juve were 2-1 up. A goal for each side in the extra 30 minutes saw Porto progress. In the outright betting to lift the trophy this season Porto can be backed at around 165/1.

Porto are second in the Portuguese top flight but the gap to league leaders Sporting is 6 points.

Verdict:

Chelsea's 2-0 lead doesn't make this second leg any easier to call in my opinion but if pushed for a pick I would go with another Chelsea win. The English side could ease through with a draw and even a narrow defeat but I fancy they can pick Porto off at some stage and kill the game off.
