The latest Goodforthegame newsletter penned by @BrentGraham with best bets for the weekend of 24th to 26th July
Rugby Betting may be my bread and butter, but there is one Horse Race that gets me excited every year and that is the Durban July.
It will be a very different experience to normal with the event being held behind closed doors and also the fact that friends and family won’t be able to come round and watch the spectacle. That won’t stop me enjoying it though and for more read my Citizen Blog
Durban July Preview
One of the highlights of my week was the video preview I did with Jason Dedekind and Alan Moscrop (Southpaw on Twitter and the Goodforthegame Forum). These two guys know their racing and they made very convincing cases for their fancies.

Backing my Beloved Blues
We returned to winning form last week when the Reds over 15.5 first half points arrived and viewers of last nights THE HANDICAP show will sense that this is the week where the bookmakers look to have set the handicaps rather well.
There were very few games where the panel which consisted of @Oracle Rugby, @Son_of_a_Punt and @HanrickSwart were in full agreement, but there was a strong enough consensus on the Blues to beat the Chiefs by 8 or more on Sunday.
Sunday morning games haven't been good to me and I have lost two R500 bets to Oracle Rugby in succession both of which looked like certain winners with 15 minutes to go. How the Chiefs blew a 19 point lead against the Highlanders I will never know.
