Super 14 Week 5 - Early Prices

Super 14 Week 5 - Early Prices

Mbet will be out with their early prices later today – out of interest here is how I would handicap the games

Chiefs v Crusaders -2.5

Waratahs -14.5 Lions

Brumbies -9.5 Sharks

Bulls -16.5 Highlanders

Stormers -6.5 Hurricanes

Reds -6.5 Force

Hastily put together but interested to hear what others reckon and also to see how close Mbet come out?

Re: Super 14 Week 5 - Early Prices

you'll be pretty close on those Brent, i'd agree with all except perhaps 1, think Stormers will be priced up around -9.5 or -10.5, but depends on how Canes injury list is looking.

Looks a tricky week for the comp.

Re: Super 14 Week 5 - Early Prices

I am all over the Lions if thats the cap Brent! Tahs are the most boring side in the world! Cannot see them winning by more than 14, Phil Waugh never takes any risks so I would be on the + there. Expect it to be:
Chiefs +6
Tahs -9
Reds -9

Agree with the rest, roll on the Early prices   big_smile

If Im watching sport, I might as well get paid for it!

Re: Super 14 Week 5 - Early Prices

Mbet are out with prices

Crusaders 17/20 away to Chiefs
Lions +10.5 (around where you expected RB)
Brumbies -9.5
Highlanders +23.5 (thats massive even if it is the Bulls at Loftus)
Stormers -8.5 (as you expected Southpaw)
Reds -8.5

Nothing that I am going to get too stuck into at this stage although I think the Bulls cap will start closer to 18.5.

Re: Super 14 Week 5 - Early Prices

Hi guys.  Agree that Highlanders cap is massive, hopefully it comes down as you say Brent.  Jimmy Cowan is missing but the Highlanders will be up for this game.  However the Bulls can turn it on from nowhere.  Remember that they were down at half time vs the Brumbies but ran out 18 point winners.  Similar stories v the Tahs.   I think will go high on total points, be looking out for that.  That handicap is a bit high for the Stormers to cover I think although hopefully they can pull off a win.

Re: Super 14 Week 5 - Early Prices

Got an sms from Mbet to say that the early support has been for Highlanders, Waratahs, Crusaders and Brumbies.

I must admit that I am leaning towards the Waratahs early doors, they were poor against the Sharks but had also travelled back and may be ready to finally click against the Lions.
