Brent is going with Tiger at 7/1 with Betxchange http://www.goodforthegame.co.za/golf/th … eview.html

He has also thrown in Fowler at 90's and Leishman at 225/1

Re: The BMW Championship - FedExCup Playoffs Leg 3

Was very tempted to wait for South's picks this week,  wink  ,but here goes.

Ernie ELS 40/1
Camilo VILLEGAS 66/1
Bo v PELT 75/1
Anthony KIM 200/1

Coodos for being the first to back Tiger Brent.

Re: The BMW Championship - FedExCup Playoffs Leg 3

Hard to find too many players who will be 'fresh' for this week as most guys seem to be playing as much as possible. Was also tempted by Woods Brent, especially looking at Mickelson's record at this course, very poor. Have just stuck with bigger priced guys again for this week, Overton probably favourite of my punts:

Sean O Hair - 1 unit ew @ 80/1
Ian Poulter - 1 unit ew @ 80/1
Jeff Overton - 1 unit ew @ 100/1
Ryan Moore - 0.5 unit ew @ 125/1

Gone with Cink to justify his Captian's pick at 55/1 (BetX)
Followed South on Overton at 125/1 (WOS) - just hope the poor fella is not leading going into round 4, only to be beaten by a 59 or 62 as has happened to him already.

this could perhaps have been having cheese too close to bedtime last night or doing selections so late, but I woke up with the name KJ Choi floating about in my head?! speechlesssmiley

Had to follow up on it, 0.5 unit KJ Choi @ 110/1.  roll

Not one of my usual bets but have taken Kuchar for a top 10 and ties at 16/10 with GreatOdds - he has a strike rate of 43% this season and in a 70 man field the price looks fair enough.

5 units on

Re: The BMW Championship - FedExCup Playoffs Leg 3

My golf bubble burst big time last weekend. Rose, Harrington and Zach were my win pick and they proved to be poor picks at that! My place bets on DJ Trahan, Ryan Palmer and John Senden kept me interested throughout but it all ended in misery for me.

So this week I took some forum advice: Followed Brent on Leishman ( I see he's currently +2 after 12... sad )
Followed South on Overton as well.

Instead of going for any further e/w or win picks I just went for a few place bets:

Palmer
DJ Trahan
Senden

Will add a few e/w bets in running this week and see if I can't turn things around in that manner.

Enjoy and good luck all!

Re: The BMW Championship - FedExCup Playoffs Leg 3

Looks like I am not only going to be the first forum member to back Tiger in recent weeks but also the first one to do my money  sad

A very indifferent round and while I am not without hope he needs to make dramatic improvement today.

My 2 long shots are not out of it but they are a few shots back of where they should be especially given they were early starters while the Kuchar top 10 is off to a flyer (don't go and win it now mate)

What a back 9 by Ryan Moore - I knew someone on the forum had him and no prizes for guessing it was the form man South who also has Poulter right there!

Nice to see the Goose playing well and the Saffers generally going ok.

Re: The BMW Championship - FedExCup Playoffs Leg 3

not sure if you guys feel the same, but think it looks a good weekend of golf ahead, even with/without punts, very tight field and a tough course.

Moore faulted a bit for me yesterday Brent, but I see Kuchar and Leishman both at top, nice going to so far!

3 places with Choi! Impressive stuff South! I thought Moore would hang on and win it but another good weekend for the South  beersmiley

Re: The BMW Championship - FedExCup Playoffs Leg 3

shot lads. big_smile  Sign of high expectations when you're bitterly dissapointed with a 125/1 shot finishing in the top 5, Moore left a lot of puts out on course! sad

Will have to see what the dreams say this week to see if we can find another Choi!  lol

Typical for Johnson to win when he wasn't 1 of forum picks, I think we've all been on him at least once in last couple months.

Re: The BMW Championship - FedExCup Playoffs Leg 3

Incredible run South - well done! And that Choi dream was amazing - does your wife know you are dreaming about South Korean men?  wink

It is a pity that none of us were on Johnson although I must admit to being happy for the guy, he has had his share of heartbreak this year.

A very different Sunday night to what I was planning as my little guy broke his arm at a party and required an operation so it was Sunday night at the hospital rather than the TV - I see Kuchar top 10 arrived to land me the smallest of profits on the tournament.
